I unlocked my bootloader following all the directions form HTC. I them followed these to get perm root:

Permanently Rooting Your HTC Rezound With One Click
Now that the hard part's over, here's how you go about getting permanent root for your Rezound.

Again, make sure you have USB debugging enabled (Settings -> Applications -> Development)
Connect your phone to your computer
Double-click the OneClickRoot.bat file extracted from the 1-Click Root archive downloaded earlier.
Press any key to start the rooting process when prompted

The first time nothing happend and it just sat there and hanged. I exited and tried again now I get this:

No for some reason your script is missing a file or something...
"The system cannot find the path specified."

Can you link me the script so I can take a look at it.

Also, are you running it from inside the zip or are you extracting the entire zip to the desktop (or wherever)?

I gave up and just did this: xda-developers - View Single Post - [Guide] You are Unlocked. Now What?

That worked for me I now have Amon Ra recovery and just made a backup.

BTW, I just saw your ROM, is there a way to keep Facebook? Do you have a list of apps that are safe to remove and what there names are? Can you just use rootexplorere to delete them?

If you want to keep facebook, install the original from the market. The one Scott removes is the HTC compiled version which has more Sense hooks in it.

Just run that script as the normal user. DO NOT run script right clicking on it and using run as Administrator because the script will try to find path's to programs inside a script as Administrator and it will fail. Run script with just right clicking on it and then click on open. It should work just fine like that.

Well, I had this problem with clean tool as well.

It's because the files inside the zip are hidden and when the zip is opened, depending on the folder view options, people won't see anything other than the bat file. Then they'll just run the bat file after extracting it.

Honestly you should remove the hidden flag from your files (Scott) before zipping/distributing them.

A lot of us run with hidden files and extensions shown and don't think twice about it.
