stuck in bootloop after installing cleanrom 2.2

ok managed to unlock and root my rezound, i used amonra recovery to install cleanrom 2.2. looked like everything was going ok on the install, then it reboot and it sticks to the htc splash screan
i go into recovery and hboot comes up and has
main version is older!
update fail!
press <power> for reboot.

i cant even see my usb drives when in hboot
i tried installing a different recovery but it just has < waiting for device>

edit: got into amonra recover by removing extrnal sd card, my sd card reader isnt working (junk) so i cant remove the ph98.img that i think is causing one problem of not letting me in the bootloader. nor putting another rom on the sd card to flash.

edit2: found out how to mount and unmount intern sd card in recovery.
now i am hoping that once i download a new rom it will fix it, any ideas if that will work?

help please.

Mounting the SD should work but you have to manually flash the kernel.
in a command prompt change directory to your android sdk directory then
"fastboot flash boot boot.img"

boot.img is found in the ROM zip file under kernel in the PH98IMG.zip file
