Success returning the phone?

I wonder when Best Buy will get theirs, better return policy for sure. Would like to check one of these out in person.
 
Getting the label shipped to me as well...allegedly, never can tell with these company. Had someone say on another forum Apple does it this way, they will ship you a box and label. Only think I can thing of is that maybe the phones are getting damaged so they want to send you another box to help protect it.
 
My wife told me they gonna try to ride me out till the 15 days and then try to claim they can't accept it because it's been over 15 days. I'm inclined to believe her. Another 3-5 days to get a "mailed label" then have to talk to them? Just to get a return? Sigh. I really wish I just got the Note 8. If I have to I'll just have to sell this.

Make sure you save all email correspondence with them, even if they don't respond. If this is their game plan then it won't work, File a chargeback with CC card company, file a BBB complaint and file a complaint with the Attorney General as well.

I know the game. I got all my email correspondence already sent into Affirm for proof that I requested cancel/refund/return. If they refuse to process than the next step will be the Attorney General.

I don't care about BBB. All they are is a mediator and Essential isn't even a member. So Attorney General will be a better option and if need be, legal matters. I know all the proper processes.
 
I sent a request this morning to return the camera and phone and I received a response in a couple hours. So far my experience has been positive in returning the phone.

Got a FedEx envelope with a padded one inside label attached. Its not going to Palo Alto, its going to Tennessee. Found this paper inside from Asurion. I'm guessing this phone will be used as someones insurance replacement.

My return package arrived today as well.

If they start to "refurbish" these phone and sell them for about $399 I'd buy it back. What price point is the phone worth it to everyone else?
 
I got the return package as well but the reference number on the package is the order number of the 360 camera. I had requested the return and mentioned both the order numbers in the email, I emailed them back if they are sending another return package for the phone. Let's see what they say.

Just my opinion, but I do not see Essential surviving to v2 of their phone. I see them folding within a year. This launch is so bad in so many ways they won't be able to sell enough phones to pay the bills.

This is an odd line they keep adding to their return confirmations given that very few are returning it based on the design or build quality. Not meeting or exceeding expectations is the very reason many are going back.

So now my "3-5" day box has turned into a "5-7" day and that I "should" get the box by end of week. These people are truly milking the 15 day return process. I'm so done with this company customer service.
 
As long as you initiate refund request before 15 days of delivery you should be fine. If they take time to send shipping packages etc it's on them.
But from your side make sure you have an email proof which shows you requested return before 15 days after delivery.

Mine is still sitting in the plastic, undecided if I should sell it or open it. I did get to play with one for a few days, but had to send it back for a refund to the original owner.
