sudden wifi issue

Ive been reading these forums since may and read about a bunch of people having issues with wifi. I never, until after i got this recent software update. And i dont know what to do about it, its really annoying. Im right.next to my wifi, bout 3 feet away. Pc brokedown so been uaing phone for 3 months or so. Its not just, slightly bad with hiccups a few times every hr. Its reqlly bad, wil work fine for 1min and then hiccup for 2 minutew. Nonstop. I havent downloaded.any weird apps or.done anything new.

How do you know its not your router? Or internet connection?
