When the Droid is turned off via the power button, why on earth do you have to swipe to unlock after hitting the power button to turn it on? Blackberries don't require this. Really annoys me.

I mean, just to pause the media player, you have to press power, then swipe, then press pause.

The lock screen can be turned off in options. there is a music widget on the lock screen if music is playing so the example you gave is null

I don't know what you're talking about. For the BB Curve, you had to wake up the screen by hitting any button, then press * then the Call button to unlock the keypad. Same deal here with the DX.

As for pausing the media player...you mean the music player? There's a basic Go Back, Pause, and Go Forward right on the screen when it's locked.

Thanks for the Droid X info!

But you're incorrect about the BB. Maybe you had an old Curve. The newer ones not only have a "screen Off/On" button they have a dedicated pause button too.

If I were you I would give me your X and go back to BB..........LOL

One thing that drove me crazy about the original Droid was that whenever I started my car, the Bluetooth would connect and tell the Droid to "Play". However, the Droid always would start the media player, even if I had last been listening to Google Listen or Pandora or whatever. How does the Droid X handle this? Again, the BB handles it superbly.
