Switch between platforms

I know you’re thinking the same lol

Well I took the plunge and bought one from swappa tonight. Got a pretty nice package with the buds and all. Should be able to recoup most of my funds if I don’t keep it. I’m a little excited, just don’t know if I can drop the Apple ecosystem all together.

I switched from the iphone 11 Pro Max and the Apple Watch Series 5 to the N20 and Galaxy Watch. The watches are hard to compare because the Galaxy Watch I have is GPS/Wifi only and not LTE like my Apple Watch was. I think Apple is a little bit better but I need more time with the Galaxy. The Note 20 is beautiful. I've had Android before but I couldn't get past one month before going back to iphone ( I started with the first gen iphone so it was hard to break away). I have fought the urge to return the N20 twice but I think that because of what I am used to. I have been integrated into Google for a long time anyway and it is great. If I can get past the return period I will be fine. I sold my iphone already and the watch to ensure it. I miss imessage and some of the other integration, but ios is really stale and boring and the cameras on the N20 are fantastic as are a lot of it's other features. You will have to tear my ipad and Macbook out of my cold, dead hands though. Samsung has nothing on the Apple tablets or laptops.

WOW... Thanks for this message. I am sitting on the fence. I recently switched from Apple Watch Series 5 to Garmin Fenix 6XPro. Massive improvements for my lifestyle and fitness tracking needs. As far as the phone goes... I want to make the move in a bad way. My fear is the same as yours. I don't want to fight the urge to return. Once you get past the 30 days you are <IN>. I've been in the iOS world a long time. I want to still use my Mac and iPad for work and play. Ive got music and photos figured out. iMessage is my last hurdle. I use my iPad for messaging a lot during the day. If I can find a way to use Dex in my office with a monitor or smart TV for messaging... It will push me over the fence and no looking back. thanks for your post.

Let me know how you like it. I may wait till the iPhone 12 pro max is revealed then make my choice.

Haha well the excitement was short lived. The seller contacted me and had to cancel the sale. Couldn’t ship in the desired time and we couldn’t work out anything. Oh well.....

I’m probably gonna wait to see what the iPhone 12 delivers as well. Was kind of hesitant to try and start over in android anyway. Lol

Ah sorry about that on the shipping. But may work out better in the long run.

Omg that would drive me bonkers! I like to streamline the way I use my device for work and non work. Android allows me to manage my work schedule, client info files merged with calendar appointments and easy peasy previoius file lookup.ive actually never ever used an Apple device or computing device.
I use both platforms I have the note 20 and iPhone 11 and switch every few months also a blackberry key 2. How many out there do the same?

I have always done this I also have a blackberry device I throw in the mix during the year it keeps things exciting!!!

I bit the bullet today and picked up the Note 20 ultra on a spare line so I didn’t have to give up my iPhone, yet. I downloaded all of my apps that I use on to the Note, and texted my girlfriend the new number. Basically gonna use the Note like I would my iPhone. I’ll surf all my social media, forums, pictures and text my girlfriend from, there. I text her the most so it’ll give me the best feel of how I’ll like it.

I skipped the 11 series. We'll see what the 12 brings. I may or may not just completely give up on iOS.

Nice! I’ve almost but the bullet a few times this week but can’t drop the money. Lol. I could use it as a business line and free up my esim on my iPhone.

And me to that list, not digging the iOS 14 beta and much prefer iOS 13 running in my other iPhone which is crazy thinking iOS 14 suppose to make it more customizable.
Yeah not the customization I was hoping :(

I just made the switch from 11 Pro to the N20 Ultra - This time I spend a few extra minutes to uncouple from iMessage, and did the transfer sync by cable. I was surprised on how easy the transfer was and that everything moved over very seamless. I was concerned about getting all my Apple notes, yet everything was in Samsung Notes. Now I will figure out what the best notes moving forward for me will be, but at least I have them. I mostly made the move since I work with all Microsoft products for work, and having Dex I believe I will not need to carry my laptop around as much. I guess time will tell.

Something which works across all platforms unlike Apple or Samsung notes.

You said you are in Microsoft ecosystem so OneNote is a good option. Something lighter Google keep is a good option as well.

I am just trying out OneNote - it is a little different, but I think once I get the foundation down it will be a good solution. I have read that in the near future I might be able to sync my notes from Samsung over to OneNote - so I am keeping a lookout for that!
