Just got my g2 last night and I have to say I'm loving it so far. Battery life is very good, screen quality is fantastic, and most importantly to me; the phone is very fast. I had an s4 for 5 days and returned it because of the lag issues. One awesome thing I found is that the stock browser supports adobe flash, that sealed the deal for me. As a software engineer/web developer I find this an extremely useful feature. Anyways, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and thought I'd share!

Welcome to long lasting battery goodness. And a better screen and camera.

Welcome. I made the same jump after iOS 7 hit my iPhone 5. I love how much more responsive Android is in general now compared to iOS. iOS 6, while limited in how it all worked together, it was super smooth and moved quickly between things. Now with iOS 7, not so much.
The G2 isn't my first experience with Android, but it is my best. Had a Nexus 4 before and while stock is great, the camera and crappy screen did it in for me.

I have lag. Well more like freezy. Literally ever time I use it it will freeze up once for about 15 seconds. Very annoying.

15 seconds? That would the phone is pretty much unusable. If that was happening to me I wouldn't still have the phone.

Samsung doesn't know how to build a quality phone. From PenTile to TouchWiz to signal issues to frequent lag/stutters, Samsung's suck. I'm truly amazed at how well marketing has done to boost sales of Samsung...but I'm more amazed that another Android manufacturer hasn't stepped up to make a quality phone to overtake Samsung.

I still have my iPhone 5 Jailbroken on 6.1.2. I'd like to try the G2, but I've read some daunting things about touchscreen issues and signal problems. My iPhone jailbroken is pretty great except simultaneous voice/data...everything is silky smooth and apps work great.

It seems like iOS 7 is pushing a lot of people to Android.

I'm one of the few that actually had good experiences with samsung phones. I loved the screen on my gnex and s2 and 3.

Another +1 for the G2 - great screen, FAST, very good radios (data and voice), excellent camera - no problems at all so far - best phone I've ever had. I usually go naked on my phones but the G2 back is as slick as the Samsungs so I put an Incipio Feather case (< 1mm) on it and now it has a great soft touch in hand feel with no more greasy fingerprints on the glossy back.

omg iphone 5s same size as last 1 and gimmicky finger print scanner and 2 times faster than iphone 5 and 4 times slower than any android device omg omg i love it. mmm nd omg ios 7 is so cool i love the wannabe android ios mmmm......

oh wait lg g2? omg let me has it oh wait i do. omg its king!

Congrats drummer! You made an excellent choice going with the G2. Enjoy! :)

Like OhiosBest posted above, I've also had a great experience with Samsung. My Samsung Fascinate was an amazing device as well as my current phone, the Galaxy S3. "Marketing" will only get you so far Dreamliner. Samsung wouldn't be number one in smartphone sales if they didn't produce a great product. Anyone who knows anything about basic "business" will tell you that. My S3 has never "lagged or stuttered". It's usually the people that have never owned a Samsung product (or at least used one for any length of time), who are the first ones to bash them. Or they may have had a defective unit or particular problem, and used that experience to judge the company or the product as a whole.
I've used friends and families iPhone 3S & 5 in the past, and am not ashamed to say Apple makes a fine product. My point is, I'm not going to bash them just because I prefer Android.
