switching old optimus to new optimus

I'm getting another optimus.

can I do nandbackup on old and restore it to new phone after rooted for same exact setup.

it should work but its actually better i think to do titanium backup of apps and data instead of the whole ROM. Once you swap new optimus, root it and flash it with your rom. then restore your apps
