Swype

Anyone having trouble with the swype keyboard freezing? I'm not sure if its messaging or swype but it will completely freeze or I won't be able to even bring up the keyboard when going to type the message.

Have you set your Windows and Transition animations to off in Settings, Developer options?

when I go to developer options it all is switched to off.

You have to turn dev options on in the upper right corner then you can access them.

Hmm...tried that, still not working.

I had a similar issue. I disabled Swype Connect in the Settings and haven't had the problem since.

I'll try that. I really like the swpe keyboard, but everytime I try to use it it freezes up my messaging.

My swype was freezing up and force closing after the jelly bean Sprint ota update. I finally just went into settings> manage applications>swype>clear data. I also had cleared the swype cache earlier, which was ineffective.
I love swype, and am glad to have it back!
