Sync Icon, Email Program, Cases

Hey guys, just got the Epic yesterday; switched from Blackberry.

I was wondering a few things maybe someone can help me with.

1) The sync icon won't go away. I tried looking this issue up but nothing has seem to help. Is it supposed to go away; or, does it just show that sync is enabled?

2) The native email application doesn't seem to notify or sync with new email. I enabled it for 5 minutes and tested it multiple times over various lengths of time. I use gmail and the gmail program works correctly. Is that one messing with the other one?

3) Anyone know of any good cases that are out for the phone? Pref a hard case with a belt clip. Can't seem to find anything good yet.

Actually, as well: anyone else who currently has the phone: how long does it take you to get a full charge? Mines' been on the charger for about 3 hours now and it's still not fully charged. Haven't really used it while charging except for a few texts here and there.

I'm glad you posted this. My sync icon seems like its always up and my battery life is aweful. I'm getting about 6 hours on standby withouth using the device.

1 - When I first got the phone, the sync icons took FOREVER to disappear. It may still be syncing.

2 - Sorry, I only use the gmail app.

This one may work as well but it states it's for the Galaxy S. Their sizes don't differ much though. I think I'm going to order this one.

It would still be syncing after a complete day of having the phone? My battery life was a little low; I took off the live wallpaper to see if it'll help. My phone is still charging though. Uh!

Maybe it takes a while since the battery is new on this thing? I have no programs running, the phone is on standby, and the only thing on is the cell net and gps.

I have that case and I'm wearing it now. I can confirm it fits and it fits well.

Nice, I was looking for something more of a hard protective case plus a clip. I like the holster but I don't even wanna drop this unprotected. Had bad issues with the iphone back in the day when I dropped it once; but, that's all the negative I will go in on that phone for now. .

Interesting! I just changed that and will try it out. I don't have a Picasa account either and it showed an error so I'm guessing it kept trying to sync.
