"System" Ads on my phone - may have found a fix. Help?!

So a couple months ago I started getting ads on my phone, exclusively full screen pop up ads and video ads that come out of nowhere usually on my home screen & when I'm opening an app. I noticed awhile back when the ad would load, in the top corner it would say "system" with an icon that looks like the settings icon. I've tried everything, EXCEPT for factory reset, (which I'm not doing). To sum it up I went on my task manager today and clicked on downloads, and saw this "system" application, (there's also a browser bar app, idk if it's related??). It has ALL kinds of shady permissions for my phone, but I'm afraid to uninstall because idk if this is some kind of vidal app for my phone or if it's the "system" app that has been plaguing my phone with ads?! I can't post screenshots because it says I have to have 10 posts first?! Thanks! (& if it helps, I have a Galaxy Note 3)

If it is in your DOWNLOADS folder, it is not something that came on the phone and is not vital.

Thank you Assassin Droid, I just uninstalled it. I'll come back and post if that got rid of the ads! *fingers crossed*

Hi guys, I have the same problem ads popping up left right n centre have done a factory reset didn't fix it, ran an avg scan said it was in my system files and they could not be deleted the only way to stop it for maybe two seconds is to force stop the apps but its literally two seconds then its just bombarding me again malware was detected in
Com.android.system
Launcher
MTK music provider

Its just a ebay phone i bought from china, sanyi its called but i have had it for months before this has happened.

It was from a speedometer app I tried to download it didn't work at all probably meaning it was just a fake to plant malware on my phone but I have deleted that app done the reset and its still asking me if i wanna sign up for more hot sexy girls, its all different types of ads from erotica to carpet cleaning (and no theres no porn looked at on my phone)

I cant disable the apps cuz its my main system functions, i do believe the phone is already rooted if that is any help.

If anyone has any ideas it would be good cuz I'm pretty knowledgeable but I'm not a tech lol
