Hello,
I recently updated my note 4 to 6.0.1 and now the system crashes when trying to access System/Language and input/Text-to-speech options.
The error message is "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped".
Please help.

Thanks for the tip. Just tried it, as described in your link, but it didn't solve the issue.

At some point in the past I had a problem like that because I had disabled an app that was required in processing the setting I was trying to work with. Re-enabling the app resolved that problem. Have you disabled any apps that might be related to text-to-speech?

I solved it. I was looking through my apps in the application manager and found some Samsung tts packages, one for British english and one for American english. I uninstalled both of them and it is working now.
Thanks for the help.

The same bug (after upgrade Galaxy S5 to android 6.0.1) I solved only with following steps:

1. Found in applications list "Samsung text-to-speech engine"
2. Stopped it
3. Cleared it's cache and data
4. Opened TTS setup, it didn't crash. Changed default TTS engine to google's

Hope that helps.
