Just rooted my S3 and installed CM10. I used the installer app in the play store, followed the instruction on the phone and on the PC. Absolutely awesome! My wife is suppose to be getting the S3 since I switched to the N5, now I want both :sly:

Nice, how are you liking CM10?
Also, how easy was it to use the installer?

I ran into 2 issues. One I didn't have my antivirus on my desktop turned all the way off and it wouldn't work. I figured that out quickly, restarted the program and carried on. Then it wouldn't find the device at one point and it suggested using a different USB port, so I switched and it worked. All in all took maybe 20-30 minutes because I was not in a rush and read everything. It was cake though. Absolutely awesome! The phone is a lot different and pretty cool. If your getting bored with your S3 absolutely do it.

I ran into a issue with my S3 and I did a hard reset which didn't fix it as it ended up being a faulty power button, so I repaired my device today and since it was wiped I just knocked out the rooting lol.

LOL I wish this was available when I flashed CM to my S4. I was scared to brick it and it took me weeks of asking questions and watching videos before doing it :p
I'm not using CM anymore but I'm still on an AOSP ROM. Much better than TouchWiz :D

Yea TouchWiz had some issues. For the most part I liked it, but wanted a change. If your happy with aosp all good, the new app installer is ridiculous though :D

Unlocking Dev options and lowering animation to .5x.
