T-Mobile and Sprint Merger download

Anyone else on Sprint or T-mobile get a text leading to this link?
So an update for the s20 line on Sprint devices will enable both signals for 5G and 4g to come to our Sprint devices boosting the combined signals. I hope this does come soon because my 5G right now is trash. Before the merger it was working really good but at one point for 2 weeks it was gone and finally came back.
Let me know if anyone has downloaded an update to merge both companies.

If you are a sprint customer - you should have received the update today - 4/21

If not go to settings and check for system update to start to access 5G service. I saw the 5G Icon popup on my phone today near my work in Maryland. I am 30 miles north of D.C.

I did get the April security update last night. But I don't know if that includes anything with the merger. I had 5G before I just wonder how strong the 5G signal is now. Which phone on sprint do u have?

I have the Ultra - I got the April security update about a week ago, this update today is for the 5G network (from what sprint is saying). They say on the website to check for software update, and if it says you're up to date - you need to do nothing more. So basically - if your software is up to date, you should have the most current (5G) update.

Again - Make sure you are checking your phone for software update to get the latest update.

same one i have i actually just saw this was the 2nd update this month.
I want to see what this merger now with T-Mobile speeds combined can do for us Sprint Consumers.

Me too! I am one of a few who have never really had many issues with sprint - couple here and there, but mostly good experience, and really good coverage where I live, (which is why I never flew to another more expensive carrier) But out in the more rural areas, that's when I see a difference in coverage. So I am eager to see what the future brings with this new T-Mobile, once everything is fine-tuned.

Since Tmo launched thier 700 MHg band 12 they have been much better almost everywhere...and the 600 band 71 is helping even more...they have come a long way

The Signal Check Pro app on my Sprint S20+ is now showing me connected to a T-Mobile tower AND on 5G at my home.

It was not doing this last week.

Guess the stories about tower sharing are true.

Same thing here.. I've been waiting for the April 28th over the air update never seen it... I seen ya post and downloaded that app u.. And I just happen to check my bars they are full strength, my signal is horrible in my house, the bands say tmobile... And I just ran a speed test speeds much better... Test b4 last was my house 2 days ago

Any way to turn off the T-Mobile bands? Where I work I was not able to get a good Sprint signal to even send a text. Sprint sent me a magic box a while back and I was getting a great signal (avg 60 mbps). Today my phone locked into the 5G TMo band and the signal inside the building I work at is very poor (under 1 Mbps). Turned off the 5G connection in hopes it would lock onto the 4G Sprint magic box signal. It only locks onto the TMo 4g which is still poor.

Turned off LTE roaming and back on Sprint band B41 for the magic box. Getting a great signal now.

what would Verizons and AT&T signal speed be compared to the other carriers?
