T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Be careful with those early orders. IIRC, some of the early pre-orders had issues with their "gifts" due to a time zone issue which put them outside of the qualification period.
I am personally going to wait a couple of days at least to make sure they have their systems in place and in working order. Sometimes, the early reps you get don't know everything, either.
Been pre-order since s7 and never had a problem but thanks for the heads up !!!!

I'm pretty sure T-Mobile thread will be the most active again

This time since the unlocked model is available immediately I'm going to get that so won't be on the T-Mobile thread that much and debate about shipping early, UPS shipping policies, tracking UPS flights etc

Will miss it.

yes I am my S8 plus but the sales rep just told me it doesn't matter all customers are going to have to put down $270 because of the price tag of the phone upfront

I called a few times today so maybe they just told me that to get me off the phone LOL I guess we'll all see you in a few hours

just take it with a grain of salt I wish I can post the phone conversation online so everybody could hear how full of it T Mobile sales reps are

So when tmob offers up to $425 for a trade in (I have a s7E which currently worth $141 for tmob trade in) for former N7 owners, how would this be a better deal then jump?
I am currently eligible for jump (just in time) and could switch to an N8 without paying jump fees. I would send them my S7E and get an N8 with an higher monthly payment. (30-->39).

If I dont use jump and keep paying this S7E (another 12 months=$360), trade it in for $425 and then get a N8 I would safe whopping $65. Wow.

I don't see a real motivation here. Or am I missing something? I do have to keep paying the S7E if I trade it in without jump, correct?

They won't give you $425 for a phone you owe less on or more than what it is worth (I don't think).....I have a 7Edge too it's sitting in a drawer because I dislike it so much and I have jumped twice since the Note 7 so my 7 Edge will continue to sit in that drawer for a while longer.

Doesn't it have to do with how you preorder, through a carrier or through Samsung. Com?

I don't remember exactly what other problems people had exactly. I just remember people posting about. I know when I got the vr with the 2nd note7 it came on time no problems. The first one I got the 256gb sd card and Samsung's third party sender or whatever its called shipped it 3 times before i actually got it. It said it was shipped the 1st time. I got a call from FedEx asking me what my address was cause samsung only put my name, city, state and zip code. Didn't have my street address. I gave it to then and they said they would deliver the next day. Never came. I called FedEx and they said Samsung wanted it shipped back. So I called samsung. Samsung said they will ship it again. Well they did and tracker on FedEx site said it was delivered. Well it wasn't delivered here. Called FedEx they said they delivered it the next street over that had a simular street name but same number. They said I needs to call Samsung. I'm like you the the one that took it to the wrong address. How is that Samsung fault after I asked to verify the address it was supposed to go to instead of where it actually went. Well I was bout to say forget it. Someone got a free sd card. But I said I'll try one more time. 3rd time Samsung said they have to verify it was sent to wrong address and I'll get an email in a few days if they reship it again. 2 or 3 days later they shipped it and I got it no problem. Samsung could have said screw it after the 1st or 2nd time but they didn't so I wasn't to upset since it free. Sorry so long lol.

Pretty sure you have to jump to another model phone

And I may be wrong but I am under the impression from what the TMobile rep. told me that the jump every 30 days is not on the higher end phones, they are for certain mid range and certain brand phones only. And no you can't jump to the same phone.... I would call them to be sure. I have heard so many stories and read so many posts and made a few calls to Samsung and TMobile so I may be a tad confused.....

Too bad about the 600mhz not working with the Note 8. Few places suck indoors here (one being Buffalo Wild Wings)
