T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

Agreed. Obviously all carriers are greedy corporations who are trying to appease their shareholders. But before T-Mobile did the uncarrier stuff you were stuck with a phone for 2 years. Now, I've been upgrading every six months. Can't complain!

I agree, I just wish that for those of us who are planning on keeping a phone for a year or probably 2, there was an option for a lower down payment and higher monthly fee on the 512gb version.

I'm really thinking this will be the week where things get moving. Bank accounts getting charged and the possible a select few will be getting tracking information. This will be an exciting week.

when you all check your order status on tmobile. com. does it give you a we can't display your order error message?

I hope so. I did order from samsung.com and they charged my bank account the next day. When I ordered the s8 plus and Note 8 from them they didn't charge it until they were ready to print the shipping labels. Maybe things will start moving soon. Would be nice if we got it this friday but I doubt it.

That's been happening to me intermittently. Best thing is to check the credit/debit card that you used to pay the down payment. When it gets charged, you know that it will ship in the next few days.

Right. It says check back later if you placed your order in the last 48 hours. Heck I did my order right at the minute pre order open. But every time I check their website it shows that. Anyone else?

T-Mobile actually started the phone payment craze that everyone inevitably followed. Not to mention the option to upgrade before 2 years. When they started payment options it wasn't zero down. I remember the S4 being 200 down for best credit with payments monthly. Like it or not T-Mobile starts a trend which the carriers later on follow. Wouldn't be surprised if other carriers stop doing 0 down on phones 1,000+ at some point as well.

Really? I moved to Tmobile and got the S5 without a trade-in and no down payment that I recall (maybe new customer special?). Same with the Note 5 and trading in my S5, I don't recall a down payment. The Note 8 was the first I had with a down payment. I'm with the JUMP program.

nobody at the end of the day is going to be happy, I actually think things are better now.. you can upgrade and swap phones more often back in the days you will have to stay with the phone or either pay it off / wait 2 years for a new device

Actually Verizon had an unofficial one year policy. I didn't know about it until I started going to another Android forum. By the time my second Android phone was one year, they took it away officially. Finally after taking away Unlimited and locking me into the two years, I went to Tmobile.

Honestly its about getting the right rep....If you call back again be sure to let them know about your 14 yr loyalty to them..I sure did and it all worked out..

I was gonna say they still have to pay their bills, but your point about shareholders is even more appropo. And I do remember the "Free Phone! - With a locked in 2 year contract" deals as well.

I do the same as well I upgrade usually to the S models then the note series

Ditto. Back and forth from Note to S series. Every now and then I'll go to another phone for a month or 2....just nothing out there that you can get on T Mobile (usually for LG or another like carrier) that beast the Samsung's. I did an LG with the Note 7 fiasco...it was ok
..but I missed the Samsung's.

I think we will get charged this weekend...things will get moving on Monday...those of us who got overnight...might get them Tuesday....I think they will ship them so everyone has them by Friday...for regular shipping. I hope I am wrong and we get them earlier. I leave out of town on business Sunday am..hope to have it before then...but most likely it will be waiting for me when I get in next Thursday.

Yeah I think that's the most likely scenario. I had my S9+ on Wednesday (so two days early), and I got my Note 8 last year over a week early! I think the latter was a fluke, as I've always selected 2 day delivery.

I had to pay 6 bucks more for overnight...so I figured why not. But we will see when we get charged. It normally has movement the next day. And yes...everyone should have the UPS app....u can check faster and get updates quicker than t mobile will notify u.

Horrible service according to who, you? Speak for yourself and not others.
Of course for me. Why would I speak for others? Did I touch a nerve?
Obviously, a lot of people don't have a problem with Sprint. Otherwise, they're would be out of business.

Here is me pretending I wont want the S10 next year and wiil remain satisfied with Note 9. lol

That's usually the case!

I had the original Jump ON Demand then paid out of pocket to get out of that plan and enter a new one where I could JUMP anytime during the year, 3x per year, regardless of how much I owed on the phone. Now, they're telling me I have to have 50% of the phone paid off before I can jump!
