T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

That's fine, but I'm sure Tmobile isn't going to go by Sprint's sad sorry excuse for customer service and their design and execution of processing customer account info/sim activation, related info.
Their service and customer service is fine. The one thing I don't like about T-mobile lately is their leasing prices. This can circumvented by ordering direct from Samsung, though. If you are in the middle of a JOD like me, you're SOL.

I have heard of a way to get out of JOD. Do a JOD for a cheap phone and either pay it off to end JOD or return it the next day to end JOD, which obviously only works if you have a spare phone you can use. Haven't tried it yet but I am considering that option.

I find the jump leasing program to be great for people like me who change phones more than once a year the jump financing blows I was stuck on it for a few years

I agree, but the down payment nonsense makes it a less suitable situation for those that wish to change phones more than once or twice a year.

The down payment for the note 9 wasn't so bad $80 is reasonable but there's been times in the past I will have to pay well over $200 I think that's absurd

But not every JOD customer had the $82 down as an option, which is the problem. Many were only given the $280 option, which is absolutely ridiculous for JOD.

Supposedly the two requirements was three plus years of service Plus Class of credit when you join T-Mobile which I agree you have to look out for the people who been with the company for a while should get somewhat of a benefit

Since I was 1 month shy of the 3 years they gave me $150 credit on my bill I thought that was very nice, ordered last Sunday phone in hand yesterday morning. Sure down payment on JOD sucks but at least Samsung is throwing in some great headphones. $300 for the iPhone X that one hurt especially for that phone.

Yeah I have seen the requirement. But with that there were tons of reports of it not being applied universally, it seems T-Mobile didn't really plan on offering the lower option until JOD customers went on a rage on social media and it was thrown together at the last minute. That may not of been the way it actually was, but it sure appeared that way.

I understand where you coming, I like the option of leasing or financing it's not like back in the days when the only choices you had was to pay full price or wait every two years for your upgrade

I agree, I don't miss those days at all. I just wish T-Mobile would figure out what they are going to do with JOD and go with it. Seems to change every few months. They should probably go back to no down payment or much lower down payment then the $279 and get rid of the upgrade 12 times a year nonsense. 3 times would probably be plenty for the majority of people.

Update: rescheduled again. Loaded on truck and out for delivery.. whoohoo.. Going to keep my ears (well that's my dogs job) and eyes wide open for any truck that goes down my street. It's going to be a great day.

In order to qualify for the 82.00 down, you need to be with tmobile and the JOD program for 3 years, and have excellent credit with them! That's how it works.

I've been with tmobile for almost 5 years and my bill is always paid. They still won't let me get it for $81 down

I believe if you have good credit you deserve the lower down payment!
The issue I have with tmobile and this promotion is the shipping issues! I noticed on this forum that several people indicated there shipping fees were waived, for whatever reasons.. (happy for them) but why are some being charged?.. I contacted tmobile several times to address this issues.. What's interesting is I always got a different answer!..So I went to my local Tmobile store and they told me that you are required to pay the shipping fees!.I personally don't have a problem with paying the shipping fees but! Why the double standard!

I've been with T-Mobile 3 months and I got the 82.00 down after complaining to g force.

And this is my complaint with T-Mobile as far as JOD. Zero consistency with the alleged policy for down payments. It's all over the map and the reason I will quit getting my phones through them.
