T-Mobile: Galaxy S9/S9+ Official Pre-Order Thread

I'm undecided between Blue and purple! I want to get it unlocked from Samsung, but without confirmation about B71, I'll have to get it from Tmobile.

Been debating that too but according to this post https://forums.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?p=6177443 the unlocked has the same bands.

However, for me I can use my jump on the S9 and just keep paying my monthly so I probably won't lay down the full amount for the unlocked. IDK, I'll have to run the numbers and see if it makes sense to do upgrades through Samsung instead. Downside is that limits me to Samsung only.

Not trying to sound rude but my best friend is a store manager for a T-Mobile Corporate Store here in Las Vegas, Nevada and he told me the $120 is still valid for the S9 Plus. Then I called T-Mobile Customer Service (got the Albuquerque, New Mexico call center) and they stated the exact same down payment, I did all of this within the last 20 minutes.

So without having an official link (I could care less about the person that told you) then it doesn't seem true...

If you're going to post information like that you need to be able to back it up and you should include that information with the original post.

Anyone can say they have some inside information...if you can't back it up then please don't post it because it doesn't help anyone.

ask your friend when the hell is band 12 gonna be deployed here,I need coverage inside these big Vegas buildings jk

Can't help that everyone wasn't as informed about the zero down as they should be and will never post internal info. Take it how you will be as you can see in the thread that what I stated was true. Wouldn't have posted if I didn't have valid info.

I understand what you're saying but if you put information out into the forum like that and then and say "I can't cite my sources" or even provide a link to go off then why even post it...

It was true - they're offering a zero down I confirmed with tmpbile in the facebook chat. However they tolld me it was for customers with 3+years sw4vice on Tmobile. I'm at about 2 so they weren't going to extend the zero down to me. I'm trying to negotiate with them - once in awhile they compromise. Worth a try

I never said it wasn't true...I said if someone puts out that type of information then post a link, provide a screenshot or some evidence (i.e. go to T-Mobile's Facebook chat) so people have something to go off.

Just saying "I can't cite my sources" with no other information and leaving everyone hanging is what I was talking about to Buzzy3970.

I can also confirm T-Force told me $0 was available for 3 year customers for the S9+, but I only got one year

It was all over Reddit earlier

Been with them 5 Years, about to call them lol
My attempts to negotiate the down payment did not work :( However, I looked at my account with great detail, and ended up going for it. I preordered the S9+ last night on the TMobile Facebook Chat window. It took forever because that's how their chat app is - people go on break, are replaced by others, don't respond quickly, etc. However, I'd much rather do it that way than try to call them lol.

$120 down - won't be charged until when it starts the shipping phase, which in my experience in past preordering, is when they start to create the labels. I was told ship date app 3/13-3/15. 2-day shipping was free, but I decided on next-day shipping for $24.99 because I'm impatient lol. Plus - it just moves smoother that way - the phones in the recent past all ship out of the Ky warehouse and with Next Day service, they arrive very quickly . I already have the MyUps app up on my phone.

I wonder how accurate that date is.

I wish they would ship this week rather than next! After all, we are their enthusiastic pre-order folks!
I've been through pre-ordering several times and if the S9 series pre-orders go the way the Note 8 did at least for T-Mobile, they'll ship early

I know there's a form for it but I wanted to share a couple photos of the first case I ordered for this s9plus. I am getting the Lilac one

@amyf27:

Like you, I find the last few days of waiting, i. e. just prior to its arrival, to be painful.

I think overnight, or at least 2-Day shipping, is a must, in order to reduce stomach acid.

I can also confirm that if you've been with Tmo for longer than 3 years, the S9 Plus down payment is waived.

Just cancelled my S9 order and was told to call back tomorrow morning and order the Plus at zero down. Been with Tmo for 14 years. Nice that they are giving some love to long time customers. And as always, it's free overnight shipping.

Even though I'll only have the Plus for 3-4 months (JOD), it'll be great to have the larger display.

It has always base model phones 0 down but I guess when somebody mentioned it he was complaining lol. I guess each person has different experience with them tho .

This is good news, I went with the smaller S9 which is 0 down anyway. But I have my mother on my account and want to get her on the S9+. We've been with T-Mobile since 2013, so hopefully they'll give me 0 down.
