T-Mobile/GSM Unlocked: Android KitKat 4.4.2 Release Notes (161.44.25)

Just by the way, release notes for 4.4.2 on T-Mobile have appeared on motorola's website:

I have a tmo x myself, but have not received a notification for an update nor does one appear when I check for updates manually.... But I'm hoping for something in the next few days!

To save time with clicking, here's the changelog:

Printing documents and pictures -- Added support for printing photos, Google Docs, GMail messages, and other content via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and hosted services like Google Cloud Print and HP ePrinters.

Improved battery life -- Fixed bugs which caused a small number of users to experience shorter battery life after upgrading to Android 4.4.

Fixed email sync delays -- Fixed a bug that could cause email services like Microsoft Exchange to experience intermittent delays in data synchronization.

I believe that the T-Mobile Moto X (carrier unlocked) is in the testers hands. I haven't heard of any problems with the software update so I would assume that it should be released to the public soon.

Awesome, so the exchange server bug is fixed!

What about the camera, no improvements to the camera?

Its doesn't list any camera changes but the slide to adjust exposure seems to be snappier and brights seem less grainer.... I've heard.

I got it about 4 hours ago. I have had the phone less than a week and I am getting updates, I think I like this.

-Faster unlock from Active Display
-Slight performance boost
-Black page bug in Chrome is fixed
-General Android 4.4.2 changes for all phones (eg. ART fixes, elements of the launcher that were previously still blue in 4.4 are now white)

I received this update last night too. It's strange getting a T-Mobile update when you're using at&t but I'll take it.

It's not really a TMobile update, that is just how it is being referred to here. It is the GSM unlocked model update. And as you know, you can use the GSM unlocked model on both TMobile or ATT.

The updates on the GSM unlocked model come directly from Motorola so it doesn't matter which carrier you are operating the phone on.

Faster unlock from Active Display? Does that mean you no longer see the lockscreen briefly when swiping down?

Correct. You don't see the lock screen in between now. Well, actually I've seen it once or twice since updating on Monday, but it was still a lot faster, and most of the time you don't see the lock screen at all now.

Never mind - you apparently aren't supposed to clear data from the Google Services Framework app.

Try going to Settings, Apps, All, Google Services Framework, Clear Data, Force Stop. Then Settings, About Phone, System Updates. In the past, that has worked on Nexi to force an update. Don't know if it works on the Moto X.
