It wasn't even possible with 4.3... it's not a bug it's just the way it's programmed.. T-Mobile is pushing this ISIS thing.. People should know this by now.

People should know by now that it should be unaffected by carriers, since kitkat is supposed to separate the secure element with HCE. Tmobile gimped it.

I'm also liking all of the new small changes, someone said they limited the settings for the lock screen? It's all there for me. The new little UI changes such as the clear notifications and the status bar at the top has a nice clean feel to it. I just Really want the big UI changes to touch wiz that's on the s5 or the note Pro. But for now I'm really satisfied.

I don't understand what immersive mode is? . I see notification bar all the time even when using play store. It only works for Samsung apps but it used to even on 4.3.

For those having problems you should clear all your apps cache. I had a couple hiccups with apps and clearing the cache resolved all issues. I cleared in the storage option in the settings menu as well as cleared cache in recovery. Not a single hiccup since

Yeah, that was me. Here's a screenshot showing what the Lock Screen section looks like for me now after the update.Screenshots_2014-03-05-23-57-33.jpg

You're both using different types of Screen Lock methods. One is swipe is secured with a Auto-Lock. FYI I also have the same options as the user with the Auto-Lock as I have PIN enabled as my security method. If you change the Screen Lock method it should change accordingly.

Updated through kies to kitKat and lost root. Tried to root again and Odin said it passed the root process but would never boot all the way. It would just go into a loop to where I had to pull the battery.Tried to boot into recovery but it would go back to the loop saying something about a warranty and can't force to recovery, something like that can't remember completely right now. I went into supersu app to see if it was rooted and it said binaries are not installed and supersu can't install them. So I got root checker and it said I wasn't rooted so I did the whole process again and same thing. I was wondering if there is a way to root my phone again or if anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong

Hello,

Just purchased my self an Sm-N9005 from Jordan Sim free European model. A couple of my colleges are running Kit-Kat and the same phones however I have not received the update as yet. I have checked this by checking for updates.

My Phone details are as follows:

Model - SM-N9005
Android Version - 4.3 Jelly Bean
Baseband - N9005XXUDMJ7
Build Number - JSS15J.N9005XXUDMK2

can anyone advise me as I'm new to Andriod.

Interesting, you're right, the options came back when i changed to Swipe, I didn't change anything between updates, so I'm assuming I had auto-lock before. I'm using that feature with the Galaxy Gear that it locks if the watch isn't nearby. Before the update, I had all those options, though, using the same feature.

Okay, so...apparently you can ONLY have the watercolor or ripple effects now if you use the stock wallpapers on the homescreen. If you use a live wallpaper, but defaults you to the unlock thing with the circle...kind of an odd change. You also can not have the ripple or watercolor effects if you use the auto-locking feature from Galaxy Gear. I have no idea why Samsung made that decision...)

CF Auto Root for the T-Mobile Note 3 hasn't been updated for KK 4.4 yet. You have to use this:

Has anyone else had issues with voice control for answering or rejecting incoming calls not working anymore after updating to KitKat? And yes, I do have the feature enabled in settings.

Noticed there was a new icon called volte, but after a reboot it disappeared but is still visible in app manager

Re: Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) update problems and issues thread

Okay, so after the update, there are a TON of options missing. Is anyone else seeing this? They removed the ability to change the lockscreen shortcuts, the lockscreen never changes to the music widget now and in fact, it looks like the "Music on lockscreen option" (you can find it by searching "music" in the Settings menu) is completely disabled. Also, the notification panel no longer separates active notifications from the passive notifications. Why did they remove so many options?

Must be your phone. Everything you listed is fine with my phone.

So, your notifications are still separated out after the update?
