T-Mobile Pre-Order Question and Comment Thread

I have just ended a conversation with a rep and they said they couldn't ship the devices any sooner and the cards will still be charged. I'm contacting my bank to see what can be done. Tmobile needs to adhere to their own policies and not make them up and change them as they see fit.
This sounds a little unreasonable to me. You wanted the phone. You ordered the phone. They charged you for the phone you purchased. They cannot, nor can anyone else, ship the phones earlier that probably 4/19. What were you expecting to happen when you pre-ordered?

Now some clueless tech website will pick up the story and say T-Mobile customers receiving their S8 early. But the fact is ... well we know what happened with Note 7.

I spoke to Tforce on Twitter. They should not be charging cards unless it was shipping in the next couple days but they said it will not ship till around the 18th or 19th. My card has not been charged yet and you should see PartiallyPreordered on your order status page on my.tmobile.com which lets you know you haven't been charged as well.

Credit card merchant agreements mandate that products be shipped when they are charged. It's not unreasonable to expect Tmobile to follow those guidelines. Shipping a product 5 days after it's charged is a violation of those agreements.

My card was charged today, yet I never got a text message from T-Mobile. I have no problem with them charging my card as I know it guarantees me a device. Everyone who is going crazy on here about terms of service and calling banks and disputing charges needs to chill out. If you don't like the way T-Mobile does business, there are plenty of other carriers you can switch to. This is the same thing that happened with the Note 7 preorder and release and everyone was ticked off because they weren't getting their devices a week early like previous releases. Chill out...your phone will be here before you know it.

same thing i said, at least they are getting charged. i have verizon and i havent heard a peep from them at all

Guys, Tmobile charged our cards 6 days before we got our phones with the Note 7 and that weekend they created shipping labels for them. I don't see the difference this time except a day sooner they started most likely because Easter is on a sunday.

I expect everyone gets their phones next Thur with some on Fri if there are delays due to weather and such with flights.

Samsung told me today they're shipping on the 17th so I expect the 19th I'll probably get mine.

Yeah I mean who cares about policies in place to protect the consumer? Just let the companies do whatever they want.

I strongly believe the phones will arrive tomorrow and Saturday I think T-Mobile is not saying anything because they don't want their call center flooded with calls asking if the phone will ship today

To make a short story long... I cancelled my order with Samsung and ordered with T-Mobile on 4/8. I just got the text that everybody else is getting, but mine says "We will start shipping on April 18th, prior to its release." I think the ones who ordered the day the pre-order started or a day or two after will get their phones early next week. I don't have any turtle in this race, but that is just my gut feeling.

With Next Day Air Saver, Saturday delivery is not an option.

Looks like my card got charged today.

Would be nice for a early release...but its fine if not.

I would be shocked if you got a response to that.

I got a response from T-Force saying they will help me immediately and here what they said:

"Thank you for sending that my way :) I understand that the $130 down payment is a bit different with hour JOD program, but because it is a bit expensive, we try to at least lower the monthly payments for our magentastic customers. Were you interested in pre-ordering the S8+?"

And

"I hear ya! I would definitely want to get that broken into your monthly payments however, there isn't a option for us to set that up. If I could waive that down payment for you, I most definitely will but my hands are tied with this, I'm sorry :(

However, if you still want to pre-order that s8+, I would love to have you complete this link: (link: That way I pull up your account on my end and get that process started for you!
