Right, but technically you had it available and you could tether it. This is 4G LTE.

True but having dial up speeds through LTE isn't actual tethering. Browsing the web on it sure but it isn't like real tethering where you can do things that you normally could do with a tethered connection.

Right, but you could tether a pad etc and browse. This offer says this:

"Your Smartphone Mobile HotSpot (tethering) data amount does not change with this upgrade.."

So that should mean you can tether unlimited or hmm.. Just thought about this.. they are saying you get 10 gb of data to tether or however much data you buy normally.

I've have an extra 10 gb on my line monthly. I'm wondering if I need to cancel that or if the charge will go away.

I just got the text on only one of my lines. Does this just apply to that one line or all of the lines on my account?

I'm not sure if it applies to the entire account or the individual line. Let me see what I can find out.

I just logged into my account and it still shows the 10 GB plan for each line, even the one that I got the text on.
Not sure how quickly it changes or if it will show "unlimited" on your plan.

I sent a DM question, could take a little while for them to answer with the iPhone release happening.

Thanks. I won't ask them since you already did. Please let us know what they say.

I don't mind losing the 20GB data stash that is on each line. With 10GB on each line, that 20GB stash has never been touched.

I'll post when I get an answer. From the look of their page, it looks like the data stash comes back after two years.

When they did that during Christmas for three months, the data stash stopped, nothing more was added and then started back after the three months.

I get 10 extra gb a month anyway, and have touched my stash some and my niece is on her stash now.

That's good to know! Thanks Kelly!

Here is this much for sure.. The original plan clearly shows it includes data stash, so no one loses it when switched back.

He still didn't answer about all lines, so I asked that again. Here is the info. Seems like all tiered plans are getting a boost.

All lines on the account. Your tethering limits are what your original plan is, the amount of data you get.

But you should get data stash back, that is part of the original plan.

The original plan clearly shows it includes data stash, so no one loses it when switched back.

They might restore the Data Stash feature, but was there an announcement saying that that the data stashed will also be returned? The last announcement I saw stopped short of saying that:

"your Data Stash will go away because with Unlimited high speed data there’s no need to roll your data forward. Then starting on March 1, 2019, we’ll simply switch your line back to your original plan– no hassle to you."

Apparently DS was a $300 million liability on the books, which is why stashes were emptied. At least that's what's being said on reddit.

The plan is with data stash and they said your plan would be returned.

Why would data stash be a liability? All data stash isn't disappearing. They are offering unlimited plans now and with or without data stash, your data isn't limited, due to their no overages, which has been in place for a long time.

My guess is reddit is guessing, as usual.

Did they indicate if it was actually a targeted offer like the fine print says?
They didn't indicate if it was or not, but I haven't seen many so far get it. The rest on my account got the text after I did.

I'm guessing a DM to @TMobileHelp and asking if one can get the offer, might result in a text with the offer..

I might just try that and see what happens. Already had to talk to them today to activate a new SIM, what's one more convo.
