Tab 4 SM-T230NU Won't boot download mode missing robot

I have a Tab 4 that won't boot. Recovery mode doesn't work but download does... kind of. Holding down the power, home, and volume down button gets me a horizontal white line that, if I push volume up, takes me to a static page with odin mode followed by three more lines of writing in the top left. There is no robot as it apparently should be. Kies3 doesn't recognize the device as being one compatible with Kies3. Odin hangs on <ID:0/003> SetupConnection..

Please help.

So all 3 partitions, Android, Recovery and Download are corrupt. See if you can reflash the ROM. See [Samsung] How to flash Stock ROM via ODIN. If Odin won't recognize the tab in Download mode, you'll probably have to find a JTAG service that can handle the tab. (Look on eBay for jtag.)
