With 2GB of ram I'm a little less concerned I'll admit. Plus, doesn't Samsung allow you to "hide" apps in the stock launcher? I'm more concerned with not seeing it than anything else and as long as it's not something stupid that's running 24/7 in the background draining battery I'm happy with just hiding it.
I'm happy with My Verizon Mobile, Visual Voicemail and Mobile Hotspot being there for obvious reasons. Would be nice if Backup Assistant wasn't there, but since you can turn off its syncing features it's not a concern. Verizon Tones and Navigator is kind of dumb, especially on an Android device, but there are probably people who use it. If Verizon was smart(er) they'd just put their apps in ONE app and not 12.
There isn't any reason why Backup Assistant and Tones couldn't be placed in My Verizon Mobile. Mobile Hotspot really isn't an app as much as it's a feature. Visual Voicemail is fine how it is. and VZ Navigator really should just not be preinstalled on a phone that gives free navigation. However, I'm sure that BECAUSE they preload some of this stuff they are probably screwing us a little less in some places. You know Verizon... if they can't afford their 12 bentley payments per person we get gouged somehow. Consider it "hideable" advertisements.
