I am seeing exactly the same problem here on my bionic while in a 4g area....just sticks on "Receiving from server" and then fails.

Yeah I'm not sure why they added that splash screen either. It was loading much quicker without it

Guess what...?
I figured it out !!!

Actually, my girlfriend did. So I uninstalled the app and signed out of tapatalk on my old phone and then restarted my bionic.
Reinstalled app and it works!!!
I guess the app knows what phone your logged into?????
Whatever, it works and I hope it works for you guys to.

Btw, the order of which I reinstalled the app I don't remember. I could of signed out first then uninstall and reinstalled after.

Nice find! Worked for me as well. Removed it from my OG Droid and reinstalled on my Bionic...and is now working. Thanks!

My tapatalk works in every way except when I go to insert an image in a reply/post, it force closes. But, it has no problem navigating forums or posting text at all.
