Tech Support Says If The Phone Is Rebooting After The OTA They Will Replace The Phone

I still have a feeling the reboot issue is regional and being caused by some of Verizon's towers not playing nice with the Bolt. Honestly I have not had one reboot since the OTA came out.
Yeah, I'm in pretty good shape too. I bought the phone on March 17 and had one turn-off the first week. Nothing since then till after the OTA. A day after the OTA was released (I installed it the day it was released) I had a restart. But nothing since. It's been about, what... a couple of weeks now? Fortunately this reboot thing is proving to be a non-issue for me. I'm glad.

I think this thread needs to be deleted or locked.

There are a number of reports in which non-TB (non Android) phones have begun suffering the same problem (ie BB, etc).

The rumor (and its all speculation until Verizon comes out and explains what is going on) seems to be an issue with the new radio contained within the OTA, as well as towers across the country, which is accounting for the reboots. It may even have to do with the LTE issues recently announced (this would point to tower problems). This would account for why some people are having problems and not others.

Verizon has acknowledged that there is a problem and they are looking into it. It's not your place to curtail discussion of it. If you don't want to talk about it you are free to unsubscribe from the thread and leave. The rest of us clearly want to talk about it.

There is nothing wrong with a thread being locked. This one is misleading, provides nothing to the general discussion, and is filled with nonsense.

If you want to talk about it, head on over to the 2 or 3 other threads with much more accurate information regarding what is happening.

My suggestion for this thread to be locked was just that, a suggestion. You clearly missed the actual content of my post and the relevance to the situation at hand.

This thread got so off-topic it isn't even worth cleaning up.

Phones have issues. OTA's have issues. There are threads to discuss theses issues. This wasn't one of them.
