telus fascinate bricked

ok so what a good stable rom to start with also i have noticed the stock gps is kinda slow if there is a rom with better gps that would be great

Can't answer that one for you, I am in Halifax and my gps does not work very well regadless of what rom (stock or custom) I used. :(

Glad you got the phone running did you have to use repartition?
I don't know of any roms for telus fascinate.. But please let us know if you find any. Maybe we can start a roms and hacks section for you guys

Boinix V and Darky's 9.3 work. Only thing is that you have to install the Telus Fascinate stock 2.2 JL3 kernel with clockwork recovery so that we can use Vibrant roms. I used personally used Boinix and Darkys. I currently running Darkys final version. Boinix was fine as well except I could not get the messaging ap to work. And that is a big no-no for me.

ok well i did it i installed a custom rom bionix-v-1.3.1 with voodoo and nothing went wrong im so happy lol

yeah had to repartition and click bootloader update but then was all good

the guide i posted that had the stock files was really good using that with any vibrant rom will work but as the op said make sure the rom has no bootloaders the one i installed worked great and had no bootloaders so i had nothing to remove though im not sure i like the rom no glitches or anything but i was really used the stock telus rom so gonna take a bit to adjust

ok great so next if i get a volunteer to work with me we can make odin flashable custom roms , then we can def make a hacks and roms section.

funny thing is the telus fascinate really isnt a fascinate at all it has almost the same rom as the vibrant or i should say kernal even the model numbers match cept the telus has a d at the end

if i have to go back to stock to help no problem lol and i have a working jig so i dont mind testing them out lol now that i am confident i can restore lol

They are pretty much the same device. The reason it is called Telus Fascinate is because Bell already stole the vibrant moniker. Looking forward what you guys cook up.
