Textng issues

Lately, my Note 3 is majorly lagging occasionally. Usually when I start an initial text, I'll hit send, and the little blue circle just spins and spins. Sometimes for over a minute. Other times it will do it once I'm already having a conversation. It's very annoying, especially when you need to send that immediate response, and it doesn't send!!! Anyone else having issues like this? I'm on lollipop.

Yes, I've tried that, I've tried clearing the cache in the messaging app. Don't know what else to try.

When you updated to Lollipop, did you do either a reset or a cache clear in recovery?

Yes sir, did that too. I could see this happening if I had bad reception, but most of the time I have 4Glte and full set of bars. Just doesn't make sense.

Maybe a different messaging app? I use Google Messenger. Free, and pretty basic.

I have that, but haven't used it in a while. I actually liked it, but like the customization of the factory app. I'll give that a shot. Thanks for your time, much appreciated.
