Yeah I'm in the same boat. My order has been "Processing" since I ordered. My status window says "Get by 12/7". At this point I just want to know the truth. It's a great deal, but I'm starting to doubt I'll see it before 2017. I still really want this phone, but if at the point of ordering it told me I'd be waiting months I may have jumped on another deal.
I called Best Buy customer service and asked if I could cancel my order and I was told I'd have to wait till I got my phone to return it - that canceling would mess up my use of the VZW upgrade somehow. I think I'm going to just tough it out because $240 ... but I don't like the lack of transparency and being told I'm stuck waiting.

Being totally serious here! Nothing but connectivity and 4g LTE issues with this phone since day 1 and I am on my second phone that still has the same issues. Way beyond being able to return it. So no sarcasm with that part of my post
I should have done store pickup.
HUGE mistake if you did your homework properly. You choose the carrier by which one gives you the best signal (at the time, anyway) in the areas you need signal. (At your desk, not in the street in front of your office building - standing by the door to make phone calls is a pain.)b) dump Verizon and find a new provider;

If you did that, Verizon has the best signal in all the places you need signal, so stay with them - not for any other reason, but for the coverage. (A phone in a dead spot is a brick.)
If another carrier gives you better coverage, and has a decent plan, switch now.
I guess I should have as well (if I had known) at the time of order no store within a reasonable distance of my had any units. I figured completing my order meant they were putting aside a product they have in stock for me. How silly of me.
I check now and 4 stores relatively close to me have them in stock for pickup today (the closest ones say they'll have stock on 12/14). Is it possible to go to a store with my order information and get Pixel from a local Best Buy or do I just need to wait? Does anyone know - I of course could just call them.
Wasn't sure whether I was going to bother posting, but after getting assurances from Verizon indicating my Pixel XL 128GB was shipping on 12/2, I got a lil' email saying "Sorry, you're going to have to wait for another few weeks (specifically until 1/13)."
So angry. Not sure if I should a) dump the order; b) dump Verizon and find a new provider; c) have Verizon credit me the monies I've already laid out for cases and chargers and the other crap I've bought in anticipation for the phone's (now questionable) arrival, or d) have them credit me the various data overage fees I've had as a result of the cluster this whole process has been.
Yes, I know it's Google's fault for intentionally or otherwise holding handsets back. But the shipment email came from Verizon and never once did they say "No way it's not going to ship, you'll have it by 12/4 or 12/5."
What a show.
Really if that wasn't made clear beforehand.
I picked Very Silver. None of the stores near me show it available.
I think the issue is more with the manufacturer than Verizon.
That's how I figured, they seem to have gotten more direct orders then expected and are pulling those from the inventory original slotted for the 3rd party vendors.The Verizon rep I talked to blamed Google for the shortage. I'm not the only one that's been told that.
