Just text messaged my friend who works at the VZW store here in Waldorf, Md. She doesn't have a clue when it comes out, and they haven't been sent any notification or email to sell it tomorrow.
Hopefully that comes down later on today though. I'll continue to harass her every 2-hours.

So I called the Verizon Corporate store and spoke to CSR who has been very helpful and I am set up to pick up my nexus tomorrow at 9am when they open. I tried to pre pay for it and he said that they were not allowed to do that. There was no guessing or wondering he said the phone comes out tomorrow.
It seems to me that two things must occur:
1) a master meeting at VZW that givs the approval-- this meeting would spawn meetings and emails down the chain, which should eventually be observable; and
2) notification to the public the phone is available.
The first should be happening as we speak (1100 EST), with the meetings ending no later than 1pm EST, so that stores will have adequate notice. I expect public notification to happen no later than 5pm, or close of business.
In other words, leaks may occur between now (1100 EST) and 5pm. If we don't hear anything by then, it won't be available tomorrow, 15 Dec.
So, have some lunch, get through your work day, and arrive home to be greeted by an official VZW announcement. That's my own plan.

I am waiting for a call back from a CSR to let me know more information on the $100.00 upgrade. He could not find anything but I told him about how everyone else was getting it and gave him suggestions on where to find it, etc. He was very nice and took a lot of time trying to find the info for me.
He said he had to wait for managers to get out of a meeting that they were in and he would call me back. He was also going to try to find out more info on the release of the Nexus. Although he did say that they usually get some heads-up before release and he hadn't heard anything.
At one point, I thought we knew that the product code on the Verizon website was 5801? Is this true? He tried searching on that as well but couldn't find anything.
I will post again after I hear from him.

Too late... i'm stuck this way....
I just made a call to my local Verizon store (only one in town), and they said it wasn't being released tomorrow. Asked if they knew when it was going to be released, and they said "they had no idea". Not sure what to make of that.
my local corp store said as of now its on like donkey kong for tomorrow, they have phones in possession, but......... she said to definitely call first as their is a real lack of info on the phone and the date could be pushed back again.

I called two local stores which hasd been previously telling me that they had no date (even for 12/9), but now they are saying it will be on sale tomorrow and that I can come in and get it. Both Corporate stores in two different areas of a major metropolitan area.
Consider this; it's almost halfway through the day and no confirmation has gone out. Also, no delay has been announced, either, so the stores that were told the 15th earlier this week still believe that to be the case. My guess is that we're going to hear something around 3 PM eastern time/12 pacific. I also strongly believe we're getting this phone tomorrow.
Someone in another thread posted that Thursday store hours were missing on the VZW locator. The bigger stores in my area are indeed missing that day and the BJ's (super stores) are missing Friday hours. Does this mean an early morning launch or extended hours?
Corp stores here dont have stock (according to employee i asked) and not aware of any launch tomorrow. Getting ridiculous
So I stopped by two local verizon stores today and one tells me that its going to be released next thursday (said it with a smirk) and the other said they had no idea but they read the same things online about this thursday. Both claim to have no stock, no signage and no accessories......needless to say I stunk of BS when I left the place.
