The call volume automatically goes to 100% when I answer.

Bonjour,

Merci.

Sorry.
Hello,
As mentioned in the title, for a few months now, when I take a call with my Galaxy S22 (One UI 7.0/Android 15), the volume automatically goes to 100%, which is really annoying at the moment, because I get screwed every time, and it gives me a headache! The problem was already present with One UI 6.1 and Android 14.
I've tried with and without energy-saving mode, but that doesn't change anything.
I also set up a mode in "Modes and Routines" (see screenshot), but it's not respected, whether it's for call volume or ringtone. When I get a call, there's no ringing, only vibrations and the screen lights up.

Some information:
If I turn down the volume as much as possible a few seconds before I hang up, I have time to see the call volume gauge go back to 50%, as requested in the "Day" mode settings.
Can you help me, please?
Thank you.

Hello,
I just ran the test below:
I place my S22 in front of me on my desk, without any accessories plugged in or connected.
Before each test, I call on my second smartphone to lower the call volume.

Test 1:
I used my S22 to make a call.
Result: Even before the person picked up, my call volume had already increased to 100%.

Test 2:
I used my S22 to receive a call.
Result: When I picked up, my call volume was also at 100%.

Thank you for your help.

Hello,
I don't completely understand your answer. I'm French, and I think Google Translate probably doesn't translate correctly.
But since it's not possible to activate the speakerphone before picking up the call, I'll say no.
And since I pick up the phone before putting my phone to my ear, I'll say no.
As a reminder:
The volume increases to maximum immediately upon picking up the call.

Are you pushing the volume on the side of the phone when you pick it up?

If you're using the stock Samsung phone app you can set it to answer by speaker.

If you go to the phone settings and then 'Answering and ending calls', there is an option to 'Answer using speaker'.
