The Coronavirus Maze-How are we navigating it today?

Agreed, let's not fight. But let's also not doubt the scientific reality here. We're all in this together.
I mean if it does start all of a sudden becoming like the bubonic plague, then I will join the panic. I don't wanna get into the whole political thing after, especially had a nasty dispute today with a confessed socialist on my campus Discord about this very subject. The politics crap is for Twitter and Twitter only.

Let's not get into this unless I feel like starting a thread in the politics subforum. I am not up for fights.
Nothing to do with fights, I completely agree with you about that. It just seems that you are trying to push some kind of conspiracy theory that, to be honest, doesn't make any sense at all.

This is a very serious global crisis that deserves serious discussions.

I just found it suspicious that Trump first said it wasn't too serious then did a 180 into panic mode. I also do not like conspiracy theories but I am also a very suspicious person.

And again, do you mean that the measures being taken all around the globe are some kind of global conspiracy? It's simple, yes or no will do.

But you know that this crisis has been active around the globe for a while, right? Local responses can't be taken in a vacuum.

Very, Very hard for me to Believe that everybody wouldn't want to take this super serious
It's been spreading very fast..
Didn't Italy have like 386 people to die in a 24 hr period.

And if you get it.
There is no medicine at present to give you to help you.

WoW .

I've been panic buying Arizona tea LOL

[Let's stay on the topic what we know is happening not conspiracy theories ]

New Mexico Tech is in full blown panic. We might not even have IRL classes at the end of the two week extended break, which will suck big time.

And as for Serbia, a while back an Italian flew in and brought the Corona virus with them. Currently 24 cases, 15 in hospital (a few of which are on respirators) and 9 in home quarantine. Several of the hospitalized ones, according to president Vučić, will soon be sufficiently recovered to leave the hospital.

Agreed. As cruel as it can sound the number of deaths because the virus is not the only outcome that we need to consider when facing the pandemic. There are many other things that made governments all around the globe to take the radical measures that we see. This is just an example.

Exactly. This is killing what little support I have left for him... Seems oddly relieving.

Just be smart and safe. Take care of your family and neighbors.
This event will tell you a lot about leadership, on both sides. Things will be much clearer after it is over.

I cannot wait till this is over. If it God forbid drives my campus to entirely shut down, I'm screwed as I have no home other than my dorm room here in the US and the last thing I want is my parents going bankrupt trying to keep me afloat.

The fact that politics got into this is so stupid.

And funny thing, someone RAIDED the bleach section at my local Walmart leaving almost none. Hopefully nobody took that bleach drinking joke on Twitter seriously

Oh, and taking care of my family which lives in Serbia isn't exactly easy to do from New Mexico

I better understand your situation. Are your parents in the U.S.?

We are all going to have to be creative. While schools are cancelling classes, I’m not sure what they will be doing about the dorms. Hopefully people like yourself, from overseas, will be allowed to stay in them. If not, perhaps a friend from school had room at their house for you.

Take it day to day. Listen to the experts. Life will get better.

My parents are in Serbia. I am in the US. If they God forbid empty the dorms here, I'm basically homeless unless my parents find some solution which is of course gonna be a wallet breaker for them. Students were encouraged to stay on campus, like I did, but most have gone all over for spring break. I don't know what's gonna happen, and school is hard and depressive enough to deal with on its own without the mass hysteria and lock downs. The only relatives I have here in the US are all the way in Maryland which isn't exactly close to New Mexico.

I hope this crap all ends and the politicians regain mental sanity again so life can continue as normal.

I feel it's obvious he was trying to protect the stock market and prevent panic as long as possible. I don't find anything suspicious about it.
