The Jelly Bean OTA update is complete.

Re: The Jelly Bean OTA update has started. Post yours here.

The link on page 4 worked like a charm. Now at job and running well. Anyone in an LTE area get LTE to work with the update. Also for those of you who got the update pushed out to you automatically, what version number is reported. My over number does not match what sprints website said it should be.

So, apparently using fast boot does not work from my Mac on the update. I answered my own question.

administrators-MacBook:nexus michael$ ./fastboot-mac update updatetoro.zip
archive does not contain 'android-info.txt'
archive does not contain 'android-product.txt'
error: update package has no android-info.txt or android-product.txt
administrators-MacBook:nexus michael$
has someone created a tar to use with Odin, or does anyone know if this can be done? This is the second way that I could update my phone.
Or, is there a way to find a copy of the update log so I can figure out what is going on? I cleared out data, stopped the app, for Google framework services, and downloaded the update when it finally went through, (seven times later). The phone advised me that it was going to restart, and install the application. However, when it restarted I still had android version 4. Zero. Four. Any ideas?

Could be possible that you weren't updated to the most currrent ICS.. Now see if you can get the OTA update to trigger again.

The Odin package in this thread works, but you need a Windows machine to run it... I just used the FH05 - Jelly Bean Odin tar's and it works.

I have no problem with using windows, i have one in my office that I use all the time. What file would I use to install from Odin? I did the update again to no avail, therefore I think I will try the update using odin... Jellybean has a lot of accessibility improvements from ICS, but I would like to take advantage of. When my fianc? was here (who can see you), I had installed a preview release of jellybean wrong, using clockwork mod, but, unfortunately had to format my phone. I would really like to get back on JB.

Re: The Jelly Bean OTA update has started. Post yours here.

Use the link above I sent use and grab the first on the list...

FH05 Stock Tar
FH05 LTE tar (needed for the updated LTE radio)

Follow the instructions. Flash the FH05 stock tar first, let it reboot and boot up. Then shut down and go back into Odin/Download mode and flash the LTE tar (PDA slot in Odin) and that will flash the LTE radio.

Remember, Odin wipes the entire device so anything you have like pics, etc... Get them off there first.

I'm new to this, but I have a question. I recently changed from the Nexus to the S3 with Sprint, but I still have my Nexus that I will go back to the minute it gets JB. Will it still get the update even if it isn't active on any mobile network? I did sign in to my Google account, and I have the WiFi active. Thanks for the help.

Never mind, JB is downloading as we speak.

Re: The Jelly Bean OTA update has started. Post yours here.

Update finally got here in Colorado. After having the Nexus 7 for several weeks, really was looking forward to this. Some features missing it seems. For instance, no rotation lock in the notification bar. Wonder if that is a tablet only feature. Wonder why it wouldn't be on the phone.

Re: The Jelly Bean OTA update has started. Post yours here.

Removed the rooted ROM. Updated the radios. Locked the bootloader. Returned to stock.
Only took 3 times clearing the Framework for Official Jelly Bean to download. :D

Everything is working perfectly.

Glad it is downloading to everyone.

Yah, I think the Framework reset works once the update is available in your area TBH. I tried it several times during the day yesterday and it never got the update. I tried early this morning and got it right away. I then tried on my wife's GNex and got it there as well. So I think trying for as many times as you like, but it doesn't necessarily work until the server where your GNex gets its upgrades from is ready.

So, if I just wait it will come? I have been wondering if the Framework reset actually does anything. Does it move me to the top of the que? I kinda' suspect its only value is to make me feel like I am doing something. Exercising a chimera of control over the uncontrollable. Not that I am complaining. It is the first thing I have run across that makes me feel useful instead of wanting to chew nails, throw things or just sit in the corner like the rest of the dog hair lint. Maybe eat worms and die.
I have unlocked and rooted. Some experts say I should revert to stock to get the OTA update, others say it won't make a difference. I wonder if some of the folks reporting here are configured like mine. That would reassure me, make me more willing to just wait...and...wait...and wait some more.

Re: The Jelly Bean OTA update has started. Post yours here.

JB is alive and well. It only took me 11 times before the update started. Thanks guys.

Re: The Jelly Bean OTA update has started. Post yours here.

After a bunch of framework resets, I was starting to despair, but I also force-stopped something called Sprint System Updates from the apps menu, as well as Google Services Framework, and now i'm getting the update as I type this! :)
This is my first post here i think and I just want to thank all the helpful users around here, I lurk a lot and fail to give my thanks often.

UPDATE:
Been running 4.1.1 successfully for hours now. Phone is still at normal temperature, i know that was an issue with some people. Super buttery, it really is noticeable. Google Now is really cool, been playing with it side by side with my mom's Siri. A few apps are acting differently, for example I have an app that changes the color of my notification light depending on the amount of juice i have left, it is currently not working at all. Other apps updated themselves and are working even better (they are faster, basically). The "click" sound that happens with you shut the screen off seems lagged half a second more. It used to be instant, now it happens after screen is already off after the blink animation. These are just some dumb details, i'm not too smart with tech so I'm not sure if i'm stating anything important or not. Enjoy JB everyone, it's here and it rocks

Updated to JB OTA this morning and all is well except for a couple of apps, including JD (simply reset conditions). Update took all of 5 mins. First impression - everything seems faster. Monitoring battery life now.
