The LG G3 has arrived :-)

Re: Ask the Lg rep

Perhaps its an LG bot rather than a he/she. Super programmed by LG so that you can't recognise the difference between the LG bot and a human!!.....or is that going to far?!

Alan Turing devised a test for that, before...well, we all know what they did.

Re: Ask the Lg rep

Just in case the rep returns...are we going to see accessories for this phone, such as the travel spare battery charger, case and spare battery like Samsung has. Are we going to get a plain back for wireless charging which should have been released with phone.

Also, one hand operation on the dial pad, would be nice to see a update to include the number pad being one handed when selected.

Thanks

Where are the accessories? I get if stores haven't received them but there's nothing on the LG page.

Where indeed? Spare battery, PMA charging back cover, HBS-900 headset to name a few.

Sent from Frope's sweet G3.

Re: Ask the Lg rep

Well you have been spotted more than once around these here parts.

So just thought I would create this thread so you can ask some questions.

And perhaps the information can be used to further benefit customers by relaying it directly to Lg

I have one...will there be official 3500mah batteries made available for the G3?

Weirdly enough, a woman who works for LG followed me on instagram yesterday lol

The proof is in the pictures.

Re: Glad your all enjoying your G3

Haha.. Not too rambling, albeit a much more detailed response than I was expecting!

The G3 Performance Thread

This is by no means scientific but I have the 2/16gb variant which one would expect to suffer as a result of the Quad HD resolution.

Fortunately (touch wood) performance has been spot on and thus rate it...

9/10

So heads up... turns out its quite easy to brick your G3.

My fault I was messing around with an app, changed a couple of things, didn't really need to...

And Soft bricked my G3 grrrr what a fool lol

Thankfully all I need to do is flash the Original firmware and job done.

Still very annoying though :-P

re:

What exactly did you do to the app to create a "soft brick?"

Its was a system tuning app (actual name eludes me).

Was performing a couple of tweaks that I really really didn't need to do, it was worded that these were safe tweaks hmmm not so as it turns out.

With my rooting experience I really should have known better.

Now it's hanging on the boot screen which is cool as its a soft brick, thought a factory reset may cure. However looks like I will have to flash the firmware as soon as I get near a computer.

But this is my stupidity and I'm sure you won't follow in my footsteps :-P

re:

Pulling the battery didn;t resolve it?

I had the phone freeze up on me and had to do a battery pull twice after an app update. I'm a bit disappointed that i had to actually pull the battery... This is the first smartphone where I ever had to pull a battery... of course this has been my first phone with a removable battery ;). But still, if they can force reboots/shutdowns with fixed battery phones, why not this?

Even though newer phone, its an earlier version of KK than my G2 and you'd think it'd be a little more stable. Hard to imagine you could get an unrecoverable brick on an unrooted phone by playing with an app without reflashing.

Thanks for the warning and we're all hoping you'll get it fixed no problems.

Re: The G3 Performance Thread

Ive got the 2/16 as well and don't have problems at all. Forgot that this phone just had 2g ram and was kinda worried, but it's actually working like a charm!

I have ordered a new one just in case with the G watch, which means I can't by the Note 4 upon release.

Tried the Lg flash tool but can't get passed the user name and password oh and product key it asks for grrrr.

My G3 is fixable with the flashing of firmware but if I can't get Lg's flash tool to work that is a big issue lol

Edit-Cheers I hope so to, I'm persistent so no doubt I will :-)

Re: Who is keeping the G3? or Selling to aquire the Note 4?

May I ask why? I'm asking because I'm not sure about my Galaxy S5. Why do you dislike Samsung? Thanks.

Sorry for me late response, I've had a note2 last year, so I actually do not hate it. I do know it's a bloated OS and last few phones they made are kinda ugly (personal)

As a smartphone junky I got no hate towards any brand! Do have against fanboys, and sorry for Apple and Samsung, but they have an awfull fan base.

Re: Who is keeping the G3? or Selling to aquire the Note 4?

It should be worded sub par in your experience. I can compare like you as I had the G3 & N3 side by side before I sold the N3.

I noticed the opposite and the G3's were marginally better from the little time I had to compare.

I will be purchasing the Note 4 out of interest and to compare it against the G3.

But as soon as the G4 is released then the Note 4 will be sold most definitely lol

Yes precisely this! I also try out loads of phones. Doesn't matter which, if they come up with something in my interest than I'll buy.

No hate towards any brand, but just loving the phones.

Could not agree more about the 2 leaders in marketing having the worst fanboys

Re: Who is keeping the G3? or Selling to aquire the Note 4?

The ergonomics are more important than you think. G2 and G3 are friendly devices in hand as far as the amount of screen you get I in the total size package. I kind of relate it to if you have a really nice car, that's great. But, it can be fast, have a nice stereo, have great looks, but if the driver's seat that you are sitting in is uncomfortable, the car becomes crappy to be in. Don't know if I'm describing what I think properly, but it's the little things that all add up. Things you didn't notice at first, then realize they are important when owning it.
