I'm a big fan of the LG G2 and G3, but come on, you can say LG introduced enough differences to G3 to consider it an upgrade but you say Samsung didnt change it enough? If you listed the changes from G2 to G3, you could almost see a match from Note 3 to 4 and some specs are more significant jumps than whats on the G3.

You have the CPU going to 805 where went from 800 to 801 and they go to a andreno 420 gpu.
they go 1080 to quad hd like LG
they go 13mp camera to 16mp higher than us with IOS AND they go 3.7mp up front with wide angle front selfie ability.
We have a UI change and look while they also have some new looks like L-style multitasking and wide angle selfie and other features.

To me, it's a solid update in specs... class leading at this point to some degree. is it worth the upgrade to note 3 to 4? eh... i don't think so. but then i don't think the changes where that great that it's really worth the upgrade from G2 to G3. I don't plan on carrying spare batteries so removeable battery doesnt do anything for me as well as SD card. I do love the camera on the G3 much much more than the G2.

I agree with your points and I'm not disputing, what I'm saying is out the G3 and G2 in a case and you can tell the difference.

Put the N3 and N4 in a case and spot the difference.

I'm not saying Samsung haven't done a great job in their upgrade...a lot I like to the point I'm debating on parting with my Z2...

I was waiting for the Note 4 until I tried the G3...not switching back to Samsung

I would like to know your reasons !?! I'm about to choose between LG and Samsung and any advice is important for me to make the best choice for me!

1 - screen size is not that much far off
2 - dat bezel
3 - LG UI >> TouchWhiz
4 - Timing (for me anyway)
5 - Dat LG G3 and LG G Watch combo
6 - I've been converted to a on-screen button lover
7 - Knock knock code from screen off >> power key
8 - My G3 is sexy
9 - ..........................I'm happy

If I was gonna get a Note series it would 100% be the Note edge.

IFA 2014

What an event and one that I would of liked to of been in attendance.

Some quality bits of tech and no doubt the tech reviewers/journalists walked away with a nice goody bag lol

The New moto 360 priced at £199 not bad and the moto X also nicely priced at £419 for the 16gb but nice to know that 32gb is available. The latter still being to small on storage but still nice.

The Note 4 and note Edge, Sony with the Z3 & compact and tablets.

Asus with their watch which looks nice...and tempting.

For me personally I really liked what I have seen...

Quite a few products that I would like and will purchase.

The Note 4 is one that I'm thinking of and a nice watch also (but which one hmm).

What is your take on this years event and what will you be purchasing?

I'm reserving my judgement till I hold both phones in my hands and makes comparos. I'm very happy with my G3 so the Note 4 will have to seriously impress me!

G3 & G watch R

So we have the G3 which is a great product and now there is the perfect companion to it.

The G watch R and although there are a few others that have got my attention namely the Asus Zenwatch & Moto 360. I have a strong feeling I will purchase the former.

What about you?

I've been waiting on the moto360 and now that its out... the only thing bothering me is battery life. i still may pull the trigger on a smartwatch and if i do it will be the moto360. cleaner style of them all imo and some detail like the qi charging. lg is sporty looking but dont need the fake submariner look,

will look forward to some custom faces... hope they come out with a classic mickey mouse face with moving arms lol.

What would be really cool is annodize the stainless steel to rose gold or copperish and have etching done on the sides...

The new LG watch is the one I will get, if I still had my Droid MAXX then I would get the moto 360.

New Camera app Xda

I have now acquired this app and it looks good, as yet I haven't taken any pictures but the interface looks good and its one I'm looking forward to trying out.
