The LG G3 has arrived :-)

Re: Root Tweaks Links

Duncan, thank you. I'll think about giving it a go. Gonna give the Krom icon pack and nav bar customization a go first.

But first it's a Saturday afternoon fry up and some footy😀.

Good Call & enjoy :-) well if your feeling adventurous the 7 ROM is more like a software update, so you'll be fine.

Re: Root Tweaks Links

Good tip about using Screen Off with Nova double tap gesture...works perfectly. And I have everything ready to try the 7rom, just not feeling that adventurous just yet, lol. When I do and things possibly go wrong I have a very good video walkthrough (thanks to an AC member, mhunter for posting it) on getting back to stock using the LG flashtool, so I'm prepared.

Re: Root Tweaks Links

Apex to keep the Knock off feature you'll have to like Nova grab Screen off and then change the double tap from Apex or Nova's settings (under gesture control).

Which Screen Off app are you using? There seem to be at least a dozen or two with the same or similar name.

Enjoy 7 ROM/Mod when you decide to install joesf and honestly you can't go wrong....

The new features are very handy especially plug & pop, the added swipe effects are cool :-)

I'll probably end up doing it. This is what I do, I faff around thinking about something then usually end up doing it because curiosity gets the better of me, then end up surprised at how easy it usually is. I was the same when I rooted my Nexus 7 & 4.

I think my main thing is having to start from scratch should I have to go back to stock. I find it all a bit tedious setting everything up again. But like I said, curiosity will get the better of me, lol.

I'm exactly the same & it doesn't wipe and don't wipe as then you will end up having to reflash the stock firmware.

So flash without wipe....its all good honestly :-)

XDA your source for all things Root,ROMs & Themes.

This site has got me out of soft bricks and has provided a source for enabling us to customise our devices as to how we would like them.

I since rooting and flashing ROMs I have gained so much info at XDA and also here from fellow tech enthusiasts.

The devs do a great job at providing various tweaks and themes beyond the manufacturers stock ROM. However Lg with the G3 provides a lot out of the box, however I still like to go a bit beyond that.

This is just a thank you type thread and for those devs that may or may not read this well done and keep up the great work.

This is one reason I prefer Android over ios.

It's certainly a great resource!

Re: 7up ROM/Mod for LG G3

Just an update to this ROM/Mod so glad I flashed its smooth and has a few as previously mentioned added features.

Well done to the dev considering we have a locked bootloader.

Well worth trying :-)

Re: G3 or Note 4

Although I said it twice that I wasn't I ended up ordering the Note 4. I have to at least try it. I have no plans on selling my G3 though. I just have to try new devices. I try to stick to one but as the release dates come closer I get too antsy and have to try them out lol. Here goes nothing. At least I will be able to run my own side by side comparisons to see which fits me better i suppose.
