The LG G3 has arrived :-)

Re: Lg G3 vs Sony Xperia Z2

Among the things I didn't like about my Z2, the camera was the biggest disappointment. I don't know if I simply had a lemon, but half my shots were out of focus or just terribly soft. When I zoomed in a little to crop a shot, the results were a muddy, pixelated mess. I posted one on a Z2 forum just for laughs. What wasn't funny was spending all that money on a phone from a vendor in Taiwan only to sell it off in a couple months. As a phone, it left a lot to be desired also. The low in call volume was useless outside of a perfectly silent environment. I went back to using my G2 and now have the G3. While the camera doesn't have all the gimmicky bells and whistles, it takes a focused shot every time.

Re: Lg G3 vs Sony Xperia Z2

I sold my Z2 for the G3. I never felt impressed by the Z2. The camera was good, but inconsistent. The feel of the phone was nice, but it was too blocky and uncomfortable to child. I had an annoying gap on the upper right side of the screen and chassis. It was a fingerprint magnet.

I prefer the G3 more and more every single day.

Re: Lg G3 vs Sony Xperia Z2

Fair points regarding the Z2 whilst I still love my Z2 for comfort the G3 has it beaten.

Zooming in on the G3's camera provides better results than the Z2's zoom and that I find strange considering the optics on the Z2.

Both great phones but confession I'm really liking the G3 lol

Re: Lg G3 vs Sony Xperia Z2

Like the M8, the Z2 was too tall and thought the Display was pale compared to my S5. I sold it way too early thinking G3 would be out in July. August 1.

The S5 is Amoled anything other will be pale in comparison lol

Re: G3 Home screens

It is the weather widget that came set up on the phone. But I do believe if you go into widgets you will see it in there.

LG G3 Camera is very decent :-)

I have the Z2 which is really good, but I have been impressed with the G3's shooter :-)

Re: Camera is very decent :-)

Agreed went hiking in LA yesterday and my brothers G3 took better (not huge but better) shots than my brothers iPhone 5s and my other brother has the M8 and he is straight jealous off the camera quality.

The M8 is not the best camera (but not as poor as some sate either) The 5s has a good shooter, but yes I have been pleasantly surprised with the optics on the G3.

Would you recommend the G3 to friends, family or fellow enthusiasts?

So here it is after the ratings thread and all the pros and yes cons of the G3.

Would you recommend it?

I have had it now for 3wks and have been fortunate not to have suffered from any issues. (Not saying the G3 is perfect)

I feel for those that have or are continuing to have niggles, you may at this point be exchanging yours for a working device, or are that dismayed you are getting rid and opting for the S5, M8 or perhaps oppo.

If you jump on any thread you will see issues for any of the 2014 flagships.

Based solely on my experience and I have been using mine as I usually do for Media, browsing, photo's and travel and its been dam near flawless.

So yes I would recommend the G3.

It's a great phone, all the flagships are (z2, m8, s5). It all comes down to personal preference and what features you want most.
