The way I see it as, if you don't like the notch, it takes up like 1/20th of the total design. Now, IMHO, the Hydrogen One is around 60% ugly (can't really call the screen ugly without seeing it). I mean, are those supposed to be finger grooves on the side? And it looks like corrugated metal on the back. To add insult to injury they're charging $1500 for it? I'm sure the camera is phenomenal, it's a shame they let Stevie Wonder tackle the design.

As for the price being reasonable, it's pretty much a given that it's going to be the same as the 2XL. If it changes at all, it won't be much more or less. They're not going to all of the sudden drop the price hundreds of dollars after keeping the price the same for 2 years.

The finger grooves are always there as well, and because of that you probably won't be able to cover it with a case. I didn't say anything about the camera design, I was talking about the back of the phone. Honestly it looks like it was built by a hobbyist.

It looks like it would be handy in a back alley brawl. A pair of brass knuckles with a phone attached :-D

Even if they don't have it now, hiding the notch isn't a hardware issue, so it could be done in a future patch, especially is public outcry is bad enough. Doesn't matter to me regardless, I'm sticking with the smaller model as I always have. I tried the 6p, but it wasn't a great device for one handed use, so that's always nixed the XLodel for me. What I fear is that the smaller model's display size is creeping higher and that may affect one handed use, even if they keep the same physical footprint. I don't get it, the whole point of the smaller model was for people who don't want a larger phone. If they keep this up the regular model will be the size of the older XL and the XL will be ridiculously large.

That's already the case.... the pixel 3 is 5.5 inches and the xl is 6.2. I downsized from a 5.8 Moto x pure (which is a pretty compact phone with minimal bezels) because I couldn't comfortably carry it in my pocket. If I was going to get a 3 it would definitely be the regular...... how the heck do you carry a 6.2 tablet in your pocket?

On the iPhone, the Pixel or any other phone, just hate them!
It's dumb to have a notch knowing it serves no real purpose.
Some will black out that area for different reasons, giving me a point, some people will say that you get use to it. You shouldn't get used to it if you don't need it there in the first place!
At the end of the day, that's my opinion.

There will be 2 front facing speakers, but they won't both be located in the notch, that wouldn't make any sense. One speaker, the earpiece, will be located in the notch, the second will be located in the bottom/chin bezel.

The only thing doubling up in the notch will be the 2 front facing cameras, for better selfies shots and (rumored to be) for better facial recognition/unlock.

About a year they announced that a study found that if you have a mixed drink with diet soda it hits you faster....lol

If the drink has sugar your body processes it slower because it treats it like food.

I'm a jeans kind of guy..... regular not skinny lol. And I'm 6'3" so the pockets aren't small, and my Moto pure was a tight fit. I'm guessing the pixel 3 XL will be near the same size if not likely a little bigger from the pictures I've seen. Now I'm sure a phone that size would fit a lot better in slacks pockets or other types of pants with bigger pockets. So a lot of it probably does depend on the type of pants you wear.
