The Note 7 Battery life Thread

Sprint just released a software update and part of it is improved battery life , although been pretty good for me multitasking, wifi calling is also part of the update

Well I'm curious to see how this evolves. If you could report back today after your day of use to compare?
Maybe your battery gets better and better as you use your phone more and more? I've read somewhere that they function a bit like a muscle. The more you use them the stronger they get at the beginning.

Here are today's stats so far. Less YouTube today but more Live Leak with chrome. Everything else was comparable.

So you can see my SOT was only 3 hours and I did charge for a whopping 10 min when I went to grocery store. I didn't even need to but force of habit.

Damn good. Now if I was on it for 5 hours of SOT I'd probably be able to grab 12 hours total.

I am also connected to Gear Fit 2 and wifi on, location on power saving.

UNBELIEVABLE..
I just can't understand how it's possible .. I have half of your battery life.. And my Bluetooth is off.

The only way I can explain it is that you have you luminosity at 0% all day?!!!!
Check out my sot. We both used 900 mah except you have over an hours of sot more than me... 1473128454745.jpg

We never mention it enough, but besides the battery, fast charge is what can save us all. It makes us invincible....

I keep it on auto brightness all day.

Like I said it I didn't really do much with the phone for a lot of the day. Spent half the time I normally do on email and text. Wondering if because it's the weekend or Holiday for us if lack of emails being sent to me makes a difference as well.

I only charged for 10 min which I think added 8% when I checked.

No power saving either. I just wasnt picking it up as much as I normally do that day.

I'd like to help you but for some reason when using the app to read all of these I see this many times :

Good battery, hope my exchange will be as good or better! 100% battery gives me 6hr47min sot, usually I charge around 25% which I'm usually at 5hrs sot.

The second pic is from last night where I finally was able to get less then 1% battery usage per hr overnight.

You must have you luminosity very low. I keep mine around 75% and the power consumed by my screen is almost twice yours (usually between 1600 and 1800 mah by the time I have 1% battery left)...
Mines usually always above half way sometime throughout the day I put it auto and at night I put it pretty low

The Note 7 does not seem to have very good data radio reception. This is why I think there are big deltas with people comparing to their past devices and also seeing disparities one day to the next with the Note 7. If you are in a strong network area (at least four bars), very good battery life. Three bars or less and the battery drains.

Yep, I know dBm signal is the measure, but three bars or less correlates to -100 or more plus dBm.

My recent previous device radio signal rankings from best to worst:

1. Razr Maxx
2. MXPE
3. Note 4
4. Note 7 (about 5 dBm less than the Note 4).

75%? Is this outdoors? Indoors that's gonna burn out my corneas! ;-)

I keep it on Auto, but I make minor adjustments as needed. That means it's usually around 30% indoors and 100% outdoors.

This is my battery life it's been really good so far.

How is the LTE signal where you are at when using? Weak LTE signal while using data can drain more battery than a display on 100% brightness. Even just background data usage the drain is significant, but not as much as a display.

Below the screenshots of my sim card status. I'm using a dual sim version of the phone. Half the time on wifi half the time 4g. I don't know if it has an impact but at the moment both the sim cards in my phone are roaming since I'm travelling.
Anyway, I'm incapable of interpreting this data. Does this look fine to you? I took the measurement in the place in my house with the worst signal. But you can see that between the two screenshot the signal changes a lot.

Only real way to quantify is comparing with your previous device. If those numbers match your previous device, no harm no foul for you :)
