sometimes the battery is pretty good, like 15 hours of moderate use, and other times its absolutely horrible. For example the htc battery monitor shows that it's been unplugged for 3 hrs 35 min with a 96% charge and with the screen on for approximately half the time the battery is at 34%! It has gone down 2% just typing this Damn reply! Honestly of my 30 days weren't past I would replace this for the photon. Hell I would try to get a replacement evo 3d if i wasn't past the deadline.....?

I just ordered the 4000 mah battery, so battery life won't be an issue soon. I could care less how the phone looks from the side. It will look pretty silly if the battery is dead!

Just ordered my mugen extended battery. Oh, fyi to all the seidio fans. The thin, no bulk added seidio extended battery for evo 3d is 1900,,,,,, the mugen is 1950. Don't talk to me about quality because i have been using mugen for 4 years now and it's top notch!

Stock battery i was seeing about 18-24 hrs per charge. I since put on a new rom and just saw 2 days of use with the new kernal/rom combo I am running on the stock battery .
Ok friends, the original battery is decent but last only half day with heavy use (facebook, 3d games, browsing, live wallpapers etc) i decided to try the chinese extended batery version 3500mah from ebay. Bought a combo of 2 and a charger. Guys, they work Excelent! I've been using only one extended batery now cuz it last all day even with heavy use so thats my experience. Hope u can try them. Chinese version is 2 bats, 1 charger 2 covers for 25 bucks 
Weirdest battery ever
Ok I hope I'm not alone in this but my Evo is fully charged then yesterday at like 35% all of the sudden it turns off and when I turn it on it's at 5 percent. Today it happens but I was a 50% when it turned off. I'm hoping there is something I can try because I bought this new off craigslist so I think that voids the warranty.

if so you can try recalibrating the bat, for that you need to reset the bat on recovery, the use you cell until it dies, charge to 100% and use it until it dies again... you can try that.. see if there is something wrong with the battery

If its not rooted and you have insurance thu sprint, you should be able to get it replaced. They don't keep track of where you bought it.

It's won't even do anything now not even turn on and I bought from craigslist so there is no warrenty I think

Thats not good.. Humm... if it were my device. I would leave the battery and phone apart for about 30 minutes. Let it set and then try to put the battery in, try power. If it doesnt turn on then hook up a charger and let it sit for about 10 minutes. IF nothing then maybe try a service center.

Got around 36 hours!!!

I would say I did moderate use. I was able to download a few apps from the market, read a few emails, browsed a few websites, used apps like the AndroidCentral app, Facebook, Twitter, Tapatalk, between others.

Attached is my result with the stock battery... with little use - display usage was only 1 hour 45 minutes, downloads some app updates, a couple of short calls, about 15-20 txt messages, and some web browsing (15 minutes or so). Disclaimer, I don't use 4G because I don't have 4G coverage at office at all. I am on wifi most of the day (except for my drive back from work when I'm on 3g)
What's my point? With low usage, the phone will last a pretty long time (I'm at about 76% battery left after 39 hours). On weekends, with reasonably heavy usage, my battery is at about 40% at the end of the day.

Interesting. I am using a 3500 hi cap battery but i miss the slimm ness of the stock.
I think i am going to try to experiement with removing some widgets and disableing some emails that i dont use as often and see if this helps.

On my 3D, I have 2 Email accounts set to sync (push mail), and one POP3 Email acct set to sync once every hour. I also have the stock widget and weather widget updating every couple of hours.
My gmail contacts/calendar are set to sync (and I have the calendar widget active on one of my screens)
No twitter/facebook - I suspect that would suck the battery dry
