Has any of you on here seen the new update just released?

Swype keyboard! Siiiick!

The camera sticking out does suck though... and I prefer my EVO like I prefer my women... naked. But w/e. Still a dope phone.

Yes, I have install it earlier on today. Two things I can't seem to get right though - Typing with the Swype thingy, and downloading a video from the blockbuster app.

I recently got my Evo exchanged and I have to say it is terrible. It feels so much cheaper, the screen isn't as good. It just doesn't feel as solid. The back cover is extremely flimsy, the kickstand is loose, and the speakers and LED's are terrible compared to my old one.

Why does that suck? Why why would anyone need more then two open, let alone four.

You're so right about all these missing features. It takes time getting use to not having features that you had on your other device.

Another problem I notice is the limitation on open web pages. Max - (4) You can only have four open web pages at any giving time... THAT REALLY SUCKS!

So use a different browser. You're not stuck with stock. I think you're still used to what you had on webOS, which was whatever it came with. Get the dolphin browser mini beta and have the freedom to have as many tabs open as you want.

I can appreciate this thread, but let's not complain about problems that already have a solution.

+1 dolphin is great. I got HD after the first day with my EVO and love it.

I like mini better than HD. It's faster and has no limit on number of tabs...but back on topic...the biggest complaint when I had my EVO was battery life.

No phone is perfect.

After rooting, i have ZERO complaints. Battery life gets me at least 12, usually more like 17 hours a day and yes, i use my phone alot.

Rooting is the best-est :D

Rooting isn't hard by any means. All it takes is reading and simple common sense. That shouldn't be too hard... Shouldn't...

Ah, I hadn't even noticed a tab limit with HD. I'm happy enough with it that I don't think I'll bother with another unless something new that just blows it out of the water comes along.

No visual notification while phone is charging and screen is off.

I've notice that there is no visual notification when the phone is charging and the screen is off. If you receive a phone call, voicemail, or messags..etc, and the screen goes off before you notice it - then you'll never know that someone actually call or leave a voicemail..etc . Have anyone else ever notice this as well?

I spoke to a HTC representative a few minutes ago... and informed him about this issue - he reported the matter to the proper department, and assure me that this is really an important feature the phone is missing, and hope this will be in the next update..

He said he wonder why more people haven't reported this matter before. The more complaints get quicker response. Who knows... we might see it in the gingerbread update.

Please do your part and make your voice be heard. ;)

It can be tricky if you don't know much about computers. I would pay someone to ."Root" mine. :)

I like the phone not happy with this new hboot or the fact that rooting
Might not allow you to activate the phone if transferring numbers and what not

To be honest, I haven't been able to quite put my finger on it... Mine *does* get the notification (I think... most of the time), but sometimes it doesn't... it's like it is intermittent or something.

For example, I can hear my phone vibrate sitting on a table. I go over to it and the screen is off - I stare right at the LED for 30 seconds and I see nothing. I hit the power button and - oila - I have missed stuff.

Anybody shed any light on this at all?
