I'm leaning towards a Note 10+ 5g. Is it a better phone then the Pixel 4?
I think a fairer comparison would be the 4XL unless that's what you meant. It still boils to what your expectations are but I think most would suggest the Note 10+ as being the better device. If you're going for camera it's close but I feel Google has the processing advantage while the Note has more cameras and manual settings if that's important. Haven't heard of any manual settings in 4XL but I don't know for sure.

Wow. 260 for your 3 XL. Shows how much they stand by that overblown price. I guess I'll wait and see if TMobile does any trade in deals for the 3 XL like it did for the Galaxy, iPhone and 7plus. If not I guess I'll wait for the heavy discounts.
I think the 3XL took a bigger but in resale value than the 2XL but Samsung had the best trade ins deals for any device you traded with the Note 10+.

The Note 10 deal was insane and 150.00 credit towards something...I like to almost say even if you didn't like Samsung phones would be hard to pass .

The only thing that would have kept me away from that deal would have been TouchWiz.

I ran my 3XL through Verizon as a trade in and was only offered $260...Nah I think I will hold off and wait a while. I want the 4XL but there is nothing it offers to make me want it now.

Are the Samsung phones like the new Note able to load the Pixel's camera software yet? That might be the best option. Pixel's photo software is really the only critical advantage, except maybe fresh Android updates.

We hear this every year. Yet the only thing people can supply that shows that to be true, is pointing to the same 50 people bouncing from forum to forum complaining about the same thing, claiming the sky is falling and they'll never buy another Google product again. So, no I didn't mean that.

So if I am complaining about Hdw on the pixel.
I'm the one complaining.

I want more than what pixel is offering for the money they are charging.

There isn't the option to have a PIN as backup?
I'm not sure, to be honest! I thought the reviewer I watched said that, as he said it was the only way to have the phone secure. But perhaps I'm wrong and there's a PIN as well!

That would be unlikely because a pin or password is usually in place as a back up security measure.

Got to be honest.

It would be tough for me to give up a finger print sensor because a mfg decided a facial recognition would be better.

No !
I want a finger print sensor.

I like the fingerprint scanner. It is very secure. Face ID/unlock has never been my favourite - I know I'm biased - but I'd rather have choice (Face ID and PIN/scanner) and not only have the Face Unlock.

Yea

Why cut down on our choices ?

Let us use what we want to use.

It's a no go for me for sure.Glad I traded my pixel 3 xl ($600) for note 10+. Pixel 4 has nothing to convince me to leave. Not for no more full resolution free backup and 64gb base model and NO ultra wide camera. No thank you.

I'm sure it's a good phone, just not wanting it right now.

Face unlock has always been faster when it comes to unlocking phones. I love it and I’m glad to see it coming to Android.
