HaHa i talked to our BBM manager this morning around 10am (est) and he said they were expecting to sell out of the 30 they had, and they sold 4 from 7am to 10am. Thats awesome but once again I work today and will be checking our system, you guys will know as soon as i do. But for now, im picking up an *phone just to play with it till the ThunderBolt comes out. dont kill me

Haha nice nice, yea my roommate from college last year works at BBM in Philly, PA and he said they got 130 iphones and only sold 7 when they opened early for it, iphone hysteria is over and they can all go crawl back into their holes untill the next apple device comes out.

I also think most probably did online ordering for this in fear in stores would be crazy. That and most people still aren't just going to jump right away from AT&T. Most will stick out the contract.

yeah online mostly, but alot of people went crazy cause its apple, but those people are still tied to a contract with att. not everyone is made of money to break a contract an buy the same phone again for $200. an people know the iphone 5 is coming. i still think that one will be a universal phone for verizon an att. still no lte tho, so get the thunderbolt here.

i've put off PO the TB but i don't think it could hurt at this point.

and iPhone5 Global capability? unless you really plan on traveling overseas, is that really that great of a selling feature? then again--AppleFanBoys are the equivolent to the Oprah-Mindless-Masses who buy any book/item that she shows them...

There still is a good reason to pre order imo. If it doesn't come monday, the 24th is just 10 days later. And by that time, more people will know about the phone. So It would be safe to pre order and just save your receipt and GC.

I pre-ordered for a few reasons:

1) If BB does carry it for a while and VZW doesn't.
2) If VZW doesn't offer instant or no rebates (instead of MIR's)
3) No harm in doing so anyway as I can return my gift cards regardless
4) I will have two phones (wife and I) no matter what I decide to do

I'm going on vacation from 17-28th out of the country so waiting might be in my best interests anyway, but I hope that BB wouldn't cancel my pre-order if I don't pick it up in time. Do I need to contact the store and tell them about that in case the phone arrives when I'm gone?

People keep saying that they will just return the best buy gift card, but they make it pretty clear when you preorder that it's non refundable. You can use it for anything else in the store, but you can't return it.

Not to continue the pipe dream that is Monday the 14th, but hasn't corporate BestBuy always held the policy of an unconfirmed date? It's been stores and employees of the individual stores that have been releasing information. I'm not trying to say it's not delayed, just that it's always been the policy from up top that "Release date for the Thunderbolt is not confirmed yet."

Not true. They said as long as you didn't scratch off the back it's refundable no problem.

Have been thinking about this for a bit....T-Bolt would be the first 4G phone released by Verizon. I am 100% sure they would do some type of announcement or commercial and possibly even pre order. This phone is not coming on the 14th Im putting my money on the 28th and if I'm wrong. Then its a plus for everyone and if I'm right.

If $399 is correct Iphone here I come.. I REFUSE to pay anything over $250 for a phone on contract. That is beyond insane and I highly doubt it to be true.
