Has anyone noticed wild swings in 3G speed, signal and reliability, even by just simply moving a mile or so (in my case), east or south in the Chicago suburbs? I was literally told by someone at the Sprint store at Woodfield Mall that LTE and Network Vision is complete in Lake County explaining my sudden speed boost and consistency of signal where I live but that it was slowly starting to migrate down into the core of the northwest suburbs and would be finished by the end of the year there...

Yeah, the NV repairs are spotty in Schaumburg and the surrounding area. There are two towers in range of my house that have been upgraded and another two that haven't been touched. It's like that all over here, but it's been getting a lot better. I think they'll definitely be done with the suburbs, and probably the entire city if their progress holds up, by the end of the year. If not, then January at the latest. The Chicago market is well over half done now.

This was on 4g LTE. It was only up for a half hour or so. Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Mind you all speeds are converted to mbps not kbps

These are 3G speeds in Dallas after the network vision improvements? Ouch!

Unfortunately yes. I believe the reason for the back to the future speeds is because they are currently only 15% rolled out in Dallas of the LTE network. suppose to be better by the end of November.... We all know how deadlines go with Sprint....

I am in Corpus Christi TX, using an Evo 3D, and I have to say that the 3g is all but useless. It works great for receiving emails and such, but if I want to surf the web, or I want use the net during the day, it has a huge ping lag. At "off-peak" times, it is much more usable. The I guess the speed is not bad once it connects.

Today, on 3g. I got 148ms ping, 792kbps down, and 349kbps up. These #s do not sound bad, but the experience is not very good. We have received enhancements, but I did not find any difference.

Instead, I keep 3g off and use wifi 99% of the time. If I am out and about I turn on the 4g (WiMax). The experience with 4g is much better. outside of the long time to find a signal and connect, it works pretty well.

Today, on 4g (WiMax) I got 228ms ping, 3321kbps down, and 300 kbps up.
