Lynnwood Washington mall kiosk. I was making the SR uncomfortable cause I let him know that I knew he had GN's under the counter. When I said I heard it was being released on monday he looked at me weird and said he'd said to much.

All the VZ stores in Colorado Springs have no stock, no demos. "We have some accessories but I haven't even looked at them so Idk which ones we have." One guy told me the last he heard was 11/22. Blerg...

Stopped in at a VZW store in the hopes that I'd get to at LEAST see the device in person.

The rep said they had zero in stock and that I had just missed a Samsung rep who had the LTE version with them. This was in Korea town in LA mind you. Anyways...I was told that the delay is actually software based and that the reason for the delay is because of Verizon wanting to be extra careful with this device. Samsung and Google are actually one of the reasons for the delay according to the rep and thus Verizon put a temporary halt on the release for this phone to re-evaluate potential issues.

Anyways...eventually it will come out...some day. Hopefully this week.

Just got back from BB my cousin works there asked him about the nexus he said they just got an email this morning telling them the Nexus would be available a week from this friday. REALLY!!!!!!!!!!! If thats true that blows

This can go in the "Rep" rumor thread. Everything we've seen/heard since the 9th fell through points to the 15th, and from what some reps suggested to me yesterday (they were surprisingly open/happy/excited about the Nexus, it was a nice change for them) the 15th sounds like a go. They were pretty straightforward in talking about the 15th - usually they are more tentative in discussing dates when if there's a lot of uncertainty.

That being said, two points:

1) Anything can change in a moment's notice
2) BB could have a later release date than corporate, but I would doubt it considering they already have the devices and have even sold a few.

That could be their "penalty" for selling them ahead of the official release date. I think Verizon knows that this phone will be popular so it will probably hurt Best Buy more to be denied sales for a full week than to just fine them a little.

Honestly, I'd be a little shocked if he got to the stores as early as it did and won't release for 2 weeks. But then again, I won't be surprised at all. Who knows.

the 23rd makes sense.. and it doesnt look like its Verizons fault if this is true.. and the logic that they dont want the phone released without the accessories available to buy makes sense..

from my understanding.. the assc. are profitable for Verizon.

Many phones have released without accessories available online. Wouldn't be new to have to buy the phone and wait for accessories or buy from verizon..

How does this punish Best Buy? They still sell the accessories... it hurts VZW more because it reduces the "capture" rate on new contracts.

I was at best buy earlier this morning they said the 15th, they had them in stock just couldn't sell them.
I won't buy it from BB for the simple fact that it will be 799 compared to 649 from VZW. (if all speculations stick)

Yeah, I have no doubt that Verizon probably has enough accessories. Now the other retailers, that may be a different story.
