That is what I am saying. If we make it through tomorrow and there is no "do no sell" emails, I think a lot of places will just begin selling it if it is not official at verizon yet.

Appreciate the advice, but I'm not opposed to paying full price for apps I want. Gotta support the developers. If I were truly that concerned, I could have "rented" a phone by now.

You would be paying the full price for the apps; you're logged in as a different account, not your normal account. In effect, it's as though you have two accounts on your phone, and each has bought the apps.

Here's what really worries me. Everyone keeps saying VZW has guaranteed the Nexus will be out by the end of the year. However, as recently as this morning, @VZWSupport has been tweeting to users inquiring about the Nexus:

"We are still on track to announce the availability of the Nexus this year."

I believe that sentence can be read one of two ways:

1) The Nexus will be available by the end of the year.
2) The Nexus's availability will be announced by the end of the year.

I'm afraid it's #2, and if that's the case, VZW could satisfy their promise by announcing on December 31 that "The Galaxy Nexus will be available February 29, 2012!"

Anyone else read it that way?

You actually listen to what vzw twitter says? No matter how many times they say something and have to retract it for being wrong? They are reading from a script, they know less than we do. Relax, dont get your panties in a bunch.

haha that is quite the verbal tightrope they are walking. But yeah, it can basically be read that they would announce its availability this year, but says nothing of a release.

Yeah, I personally think it's just crafted extremely vaguely so they can cover themselves if my nightmare scenario plays out. I certainly hope this is all a moot point in no more than 33 hours.

I too am curious as to why they are now saying that it will be announced by the end year instead of available but I'm not going to read too much into it yet. If that happens ill probably stay away from here for a while. Well, I can tell you that my contract end date is 1/12/12, and if a Nexus is not in my hand on that date, I am most certainly leaving VZW.
