just because VZW didnt announce it doesnt mean it wasnt delayed!!!!!! it has been delayed. just because they havnt told you, doesnt mean it hasnt been delayed.

The above is not a logical, or reasonable thought. It is pure speculation! Do you have proof that the phone has in fact been delayed? Do you have any documentation which demonstrates they were going to be releasing the phone on a specific date and that they are unable to for some problem, or reason? Make sure it is from a legitimate source if you do.

If the carrier of the device, the people who are CARRYING it, the people you NEED to go through to get it, said "by the end of the year", and it is only 11/20, it is not delayed. And no amount of rumors from sources or speculation you read over the internet can ever change that.

Whoa, that's a little harsh. The people defending Big Red, are technically correct because VzW hasn't given solid evidence to prove anything has been delayed. I personally agree w/ your POV, now more than before. Given a conversation I had in a store, recently. I personally believe they had planned to launch pre-sales on the 14th but was scrapped by corp. due to an unspecified software issue. That's what an associate let slip, out of his own frustration w/ the launch. He was very impressed by it and looked forward to getting one for personal use. Sounds like they really wanted this thing on shelves before black Friday, at least that was the case at one point. I also think the recent Vodaphone(UK) "testing" delay, supports the whole delay argument.

These are ready to ship from Google, the makers of the phone? Wasn't Samsung involved here somewhere? I thought that I read it or saw in an interview but I could be wrong. (Just kidding man.)

I am not defending Big Red's handling of this launch. I think that they are doing a very poor job with it. You are assuming that those of us who are not freaking out over this are not "rabid Nexus fans". I for one am very excited to become part of the Nexus family. I am just not using exclamation points on everything I post and acting "like a child" about this. I am looking at the situation from a different view from you, what seems to be a more relaxed and calm view than you. I think everyone just needs to relax a little bit and the phone will be out before you know it. Things happen. Could have been an internal delay of the launch? Absolutely. Was there a delay in the public range of things from an announcement point of view? Not yet. They stated that they would have the Nexus out before the end of the year. I expect it much sooner than this. I am not trying to stir things up. I am simply here engaging in a debate amongst fellow Nexus enthusiasts. Again, just my thoughts.

i understand that people will never understand this, but i literally could not give a ish when this phone comes out. my $50 discount isnt until December 29th.
