I don't believe there's any evidence of them being inferior to the panels used in the iPhone XS or Galaxy S/Note 9. Of course during the manufacturing, there will be minor differences between panels, but I don't believe (or at least there's no evidence of) ad 'bad' or lower binned batch being given to Google for the Pixels.
The display has gotten an A+ from DisplayMate which indicates it's likely the same panels the Galaxy S/Note 9 and iPhone XS use.
Samsung sells their screens because they're a business and want to sell as many screens to their customers as they can. Wouldn't make sense to sell inferior screens to their customers.

While out shopping with my wife I do spend some time at Best Buy and Verizon. I've made it a point to compare the Pixel 3 XL screen with Samsung and iPhone. My eyes see no difference and it is a fact that all three are using Samsung screens. Whites are white, blacks are black, and the rest of the colors look gorgeous on all the phones.
As has been said, Samsung is also in the business of making and selling screens, and if they were selling inferior screens to the other makers, it would be immediately obvious. It would only make sense that they would have to sell the same quality to everyone. What I've been seeing in the stores would support that.

Lol sorry! I didn't mean to say they were inferior. It was just conjecture based on reviewers saying it's not as bright as Samsung screens.

I’m in Canada and our release date is Nov 1, wonder if it’s just the first batch or all going out.
So just if anyone can clarify, the same issue last year was with pixel 2 having blue tint only when looking at specific angles...but straight on it looks normal?

The red is straight on. The whites are all that tinted color to my eyes
