Just got back from the store. I had to be the first person in there today asking about the phone, because the person I talked to had to ask the manager if they were taking pre-orders. I ended up having to pay full price for the phone (off contract), and they're letting me keep my unlimited data plan. No bundle for the phone/laptop off contract. They didn't tell me when it would be in, they just said they'd call me when it was. I mentioned the release date to the person and they pretty much said it could be in earlier than the 6th.

has anyone been able to pre order online for the full $600 price off-contract. My contract ends in September but my phone is broken and I am prepared to pay $600 but I do not want to extent my contract another two years. When I click on the phone and then go to add it to my cart the price says $199 and there is a link below saying "learn more about early termination". Does this mean that ATT will charge me to terminate my contract then enter me a new two year contract with the Atrix?! How dp I just buy the phone?!!!

I put in a pre-order tonight for the no contract price of $499. I didn't want to renew for 2 years as I'm probably going to want to upgrade again when the LTE phones come out.

yea i was also questioning that.. the retail price is 600.. also i am surprised a lot of people are not concerned of not having third party apps on this device.. that is one of the things that is still holding me back from ordering it..

Off-contract it is $499.99

These prices are so weird. I preordered at an ATT store for the $199 price by using the upgrade on another line on my family plan, because my line was not eligible for an upgrade. However, I have since checked the upgrade option through my online account and I was getting a "No Commitment" price of $268.

I think these prices are a mistake and that ATT will eventually realize and correct the error. Otherwise, I will cancel my order and pay $70 extra and avoid signing a two year contract.

Ordered mine! Couldn't wait till tomorrow to talk to the customer care representative so that I can retain my ATT Pay as you go number. I ended up paying $246.24.

I'm too afraid of messing up my grandfathered unlimited blackberry data plan if I order this online...at least in person I can firmly state what I'm talking about to a real person; so, I think I'll wait a few weeks to see if there's any problem with the phone, and if AT&T drops the price on the laptop dock (or the bundle of the two together), before diving in head first. Call me paranoid & cheap I guess :-| haha
