The S20 hasn't even come out yet, and I'm already disappointed...

No...must have more!

I can tell the difference between my note 9 and note 10+..its like fast vs. Super fast.

That's due do the different chipset. Couldn't tell any difference in speed between my S10 and Note10, for instance. Different RAM, same SD855.

This day and age I am never far from a charger and my phone is almost always at 100%. I mean I have a charger at home, in the car and at work so I'm not worrying about the extra power draw from the 120 hz. I'm excited for this phone and I will most definitely be pre-ordering as soon as I can. It can't be worse than my S10+ that has had data and wifi issues since day one and nothing was done to fix it except a workaround that someone amazing found. #Fanboy!

Looks like they all have curved displays. I think this is the thread debating on whether or not it would be curved or 2.5d

Edit: Looks like I spoke too soon. According to MKBHD the S20/+ display is much flatter than in the past.

So compared to the S10: Fewer storage options, less storage overall, no premium ceramic versions, inferior design, fewer color options, worse color options, no major camera upgrades aside from the Ultra... overall I'd be lying if I said anything other than I am disappointed in this S20 launch. Considering 5G isn't widely usable yet, the only upgrade for someone like me that was never going to get a phone as large as the Ultra is that 120hz refresh rate.

Granted, some of these things are subjective, but in some ways the S20 is indeed objectively worse than the S10, not just disappointing for a new flagship. This is coming from someone that really likes Samsung's products and have owned 9 of their flagship smartphones by my last count.

Looks like If you want the best of the new phones which is the Ultra you have to pay for it , which I think is wrong if you putting 3 devices with different sizes should be same spec across .

The S20 and the S20+ do have decent camera upgrades....not as major as the Ultra. I am baffled by the color options. You can't even reserve an Ultra 512 in Grey because its marked sold out. I dont know how it can be sold out or if it was that way since the site opened up.

Also read the fine print. I dont think the 100X Space Zoom is all optical. See #3 Screenshot_20200211-232338_Chrome.jpeg

I was happy to see that some popular tech reviewers are also complaining about the color options, namely The Tech Chap. Samsung may pay more attention to them than our forum.

If I get the S20, it may be a year to go with a nice leather cover or something, instead of caseless as I usually prefer.

So the ultra has 100x zoom (space zoom) but of this only 10x is optical, the rest is digital/software controlled.
Yes it's a big upgrade on the existing Samsung flagships but I don't think many people will be hanging copies of their 100x zoom pictures on their lounge walls as the end product is not really sharp enough.

I would usually go for the top model ( this case being the ultra) but base storage starting at 128gb and 12gb memory rising to 512gb and 16gb memory at an extra £200 seems a pretty high price compared to the £999 for the recent Note 10+ 4g with 256gb storage.

This does not bode well for the next Note release, the price this time may just sway me to keep the 10+ for another year, but on the plus side they are giving the new Galaxy buds + away with the 20+ and 20 Ultra in the UK where as we've had nothing for the last 2 note releases!

I was able to order the grey only, no other colours (unlocked Exynos, Ireland/UK

The Ultra is 10x "hybrid optic" (whatever that means) zoom, 100x digital (according to the Unpacked event).

Just reserved mine with a $600 trade in for my S10...net cost on the S20 Grey is $399...this is my hobby so I like having the latest...for me the 5G is what I am looking forward too :) Cheers...

It is not all optical. In their demo pic it was a grainy blurry mess of a picture. Why have 100X zoom if you can’t even make out what you are looking at? This is a total gimmick, which Samsung has many of! I think the S20 and the S20+ will be the better selling, but still feel sales will struggle for Samsung on this launch.

There is no 960fps super slo-mo either on the ultra. The fact you can trade in a perfectly amazing note 10+ for $700 and STILL have to shell out ANOTHER $700 for the Ultra is insane.

Laughs in ROGPHONE 2 xD

Jokes aside. The S20 Ultra is a great device. Yes the 120hz can only be used with FHD+. But still its a good phone. But i am trying my best to avoid Samsung as it has weak cellular and wifi signal. But the 100x zoom is tempting.

Owh btw my ROGPHONE 2 gets 10 hours of SOT with 120hz enabled easily.

But lets get this straight. It depends on your personal preference.

*Indonesia only has the 128/12 version and it costs USD$1300.*

Yeah....we know that it's a hybrid zoom. I saw a reviewer using the 100X and it wasnt that bad and it's not neccessary to use it all of the time. It still takes picture that you would not be able to get with other devices. I wouldn't write it off until we see it in the public's hands. Yeah, it's a lot of money but you have to pay to play so that is up to an individual to decide what is worth it or not.

Really? I thought they were going to expand it so you can take more that 15 seconds at a time

Wait really? No super slow motion on the ultra? That`s a huge deal breaker for me. I love slow motion. I`ll be sticking with my note 10 Pro.
